    Too many feckwits thinking they know better than the doctors.The parents were just clinging on to any bit of hope they could, as anybody would....Such a sad story.

    One of the bad side effects of 'social media' shown up with this 'Alfie's army'. Poor kid deserved more dignity than the underclass of society backing him with gaudy banners and demonstrations. Sometimes life sucks, it isn't fair and some poor family has to cop it. In this instance the parents of the poor child. Hope they can find some peace out of this terrible loss.

    Child I feel desperate for, the parents, especially the dad, not convinced sorry. Why...
    Taking a writ out on doctors for attempted murder.... give me strength!

    Did I read it right that the hospital they were planning on taking him to in Italy was not offering any treatment for him... only to keep him on life support?
    As much as I sympathise with the parents... Why put the poor tormented tot through more upheaval with no chance of a positive impact on his life?

    I feel for the poor boy but are we going to nationally mourn the death of every other child who has his condition? No.

    The lad should have been allowed to pass away with dignity not viewed through this media horror show his parents put him through.
