    Just seen that the premier league trophy that Ajax have won is to be melted down into approx 42,000 stars and handed out to their season ticket holders.

    What an impressive idea.

    Surprised they are allowed. Surely the Eredivisie doesn't let clubs keep the trophy? Premier League winners certainly don't.

    I don't believe so. Certainly I can't find any mention of it. Everything seems to refer to the fact there are just two copies in existence, the actual one that the winner gets to display for a year and a replica that's used in situations like when two teams can win it so they need it in two locations
