Tonight at 7.45pm AFC Wimbledon will 'kick off' their match, against Doncaster Rovers, back at Plough Lane after a 29 year journey that took them to the depths of the football pyramid and back again.

It seems fitting that they will start (and finish) tonight's match above their nemisis, MK, who took over their Football League place, because football was not supposedly viable in Wimbledon, whereas it was going to be a huge success in that footballing hotbead that is Milton Keynes.

What Wimbledon fans have achieved is not just for Wimbledon fans, of course. It is a message of hope for all clubs in trouble and, let's face it, in these current times many clubs are; it is message that, even in the darkest days, if the supporters are determined enough, things can be turned round and the future can be bright.

It is a message that needs to be heard in many parts of the country, including Bradford.
