    I was just updating the forum theme to the latest base version and enabling the new footer feature for better SEO and that most likely caused some of the if loops that decide which ads are shown based on your user group to temp break. So people most likely were seeing ads for all usergroups and not just the ones for the usergroup they are in (or in your case the no ad versions)

    Seems to have been a surge on adverts in the last couple of days, so much so I can't even see my notifications because adverts cover them. Any idea @SimonW@SimonW ?

    Can you post a screenshot. We have no ads running that display anywhere near the notifications (and if we did notifications would open over them) and I just set one of my test accounts to the same usergroups as your account and its not showing an unusual number of adverts (Infact It seems to be showing 1 less than it should be)

    Whilst I understand the reasons the site has adverts can they not be minimised a little?

    it's almost impossible to use the site on a mobile due to the number of adverts and is the main reason I no longer frequent this site that often.

    I’ve just counted 6 on one page, all advertising Asian brides, including a pop-up banner one. If I didn’t use the site regularly, I’d think it was dodgy.

    Something odd is going on. I'm not getting a single ad when I put my test account into the same user group as you (the regular poster one). Google did make some ad changes so maybe that's the problem. I might go through and remove all the ads and then create new ad blocks for each and see if that sorts it but that will have to wait until this evening
