Good move. Will do well for Rochdale I would imagine

 

Good signing for them.

 

I liked him, brought in to do a job and did it well. One mistake from memory , led to an oppo goal.

 

He will be one of the best players in that division for certain.

 

Hope it works out for him. Had he been 2/3 years younger I would have been happy for him to have been signed up by us.

 

Agree Kevin but not quite the same after his time out injured. Think he can do a job for 'Dale but on Saturday's watch we now have pace in our midfield which we lacked before.

 

Hmm.

I'm not so sure this is a good signing for Rochdale.

They might be able to get the best out of Clayton if they can limit his role significantly - sit deep, under little pressure, and dictate some of the possession-based passing.

But if he doesn't get that time and space, I'd worry about how effective he will be.

I hope it works out for him, as he seemed a very good pro, but I might have thought he'd call it quits this Summer to be honest.
