Still no thread on the day of the game? What is up with everyone! :D

Personally I can see the same managerial mistakes being made and a swift exit out of the cup. Sincerely hope I am wrong

And if anyone coming from the Bradford area is following the directions posted on the "away day guide" on City website, I would be going up the M66 rather than all the way to the M6 to then come back on yourself on the M65. You have to wonder who writes these things without checking : unamused:

No Carabao Cup games are on iFollow, if you have a dodgy firestick there might be a stream but if not then Sky Sports News will be doing a midweek soccer special which they show the goals as they go in at every game.

Someone wrote on the forum a couple of weeks ago we could be out of the cup and have just one point come 5pm on Saturday 12th August. Somebody else responded to say it could be worse. Well it just may be.

Surely MH has got to change things back around for this game?

A solid, cohesive performance is all I’d like to see. Something that says Saturday was a blip.

What are people doing for parking tonight? The club website recommends the “large car park at Livingstone Road Sports Ground”. Is there any street parking, or is it all residents only?

All the roads around are free to park in but usually get busy and with being an evening game you'd imagine most residents will be home, I can't remember how much the car park mentioned is but it's just behind the away stand so only a 2 minute walk. Biggest issue is that most of the roads around the stadium have a bit of grass on the edge of the pavement so to protect that they've put big rocks where there aren't any trees so you can't bump up onto the pavement which stop parking on both sides of the road.

Hoping for a good win tonight to lift the mood and bring a bit of optimism back

Plenty of street parking with no restrictions, as their crowds are only circa 2000

Having no natural winger in the squad leaves little options for change but I expect Derbyshire and Smith to start up front.

Surely can't be any worse than Saturday or can it?
On another note of interest to travelling fans BBC weather site says sunny tonight in Accrington,in contrast Club guide says light showers.
Take your pick the choice of attire is all yours.

And 2 up front. Take the game to them and let them worry about the threat we pose.
Sick of the cautious approach and tippy tappy at the back

Whoever wins, we know for a fact that those playing for Accrington Stanley tonight haven't drunk enough milk.

I think that mindset will take some getting over unless McDonald and Pattison are the midfield pairing.

Hoping we have a couple of fit strikers so we can go with the 352 we used in pre season (as opposed to 343 on Saturday). The extra man in CM should make us more solid and a few changes at the back will help (Platt in for Taylor being the main one).

Full strength team for this IMO to lift the spirits.

Way hughes talked about cook knee locking up, wouldn't be suprised if he's not involved at all tonight.
