The returned season ticket donations is shown as negative expenditure ie income! This suggests that the club had budgeted to return to supporters the cost of games paid for which we were unable to attend. The net amount of £300k is therefore a windfall to the club and actually shows that few fans had asked for their money back!

 

4 million on first team and other wages? I mean wtf? Shambles

 

800k in the modern day for a football club? Really? Propping up? Pull the other one

 

We took in 2.6 million on McBurnie + whatever, and over just two seasons we've still made a near million dollar loss.

You do the math - we aren't getting 2 million on a regular basis, so it's blindingly obvious Rupp is set to lose a lot of money.

Did the amount refunded depend on what you had got? So adult with a suite upgrade would get more back than an adult?

 

I would think that money would go to the home team as it was their ticket that was sold, we were just the agents.

Ryan can say whatever he likes about transfer income, but when all you've got are a few 19 year old defenders playing a handful of first team games in the basement division, you ain't getting any transfer income.

What's Staunton going to get us, £100k plus a sell on?

We're looking for £2.6 million just to fail to break even - but okay, sure, any businessman can afford that...

Why wouldn't I go and support the club? Because they need money and operate at a loss that Rupp is clearly covering?

 

It’s important we do something you seem to dislike and improve our scouting system (we have started to do that) and find players who can have a sell on value and I am glad Ryan Sparks agrees

 

I don't disagree with scouting?

I'm definitely not a fan of development squads, but that's completely separate.

I've been calling for two things for a couple of years; a Director of Football and a professional off-the-field team that would naturally include a scouting network. In fact, I've called for one more thing, and that's the expansion of the net cast out by the academy that never, ever manages to find a single talented footballer across certain ethnic communities the length and breadth of Yorkshire in pretty much any age range - which is flipping ridiculous, and shows an obvious systemic preferential bias.

As for 'signing players with sell on value', yeah, duh, even that ding dong Rahic could figure that out; if it was that easy we'd have sold one of his 'developed' youngsters for a couple of mill by now. As it is, I'm not sure any of them are in the EFL.

We have twice tried half heartedly to develop released players and given up without giving time. But we can credit Rahic whether people like it or not on the big improvements in the academy we now have four or five in the first team squad and that’s unheard of for this club
