    Maybe that was because it was one of the only games recently where everyone wasn't useless and crap and we actually created chances.

    "I personally think it was definite red card, but a questionable penalty decision".

    How did Sherlock work that one out?

    It was a foul committed in the penalty area but it isn't a penalty? The bloke is clueless.

    The ball is in play so if a foul is committed the free kick is from where the foul is committed so it has to be a penalty. It's the basic laws of the game.

    Out of interest, how would you have restarted the game if it's not a penalty?

    Yeah I get that and I would of said it’s a pen. What I’m saying is it doesn’t make him completely clueless because he isn’t sure.

    It’s not a normal situation where it’s a foul in the area. It was an aimless kick off the ball that didn’t even make contact. Not a foul but still violent conduct. A strange one either way.

    There doesn't have to be contact for it to be a foul. Intent is enough to give a decision.

    If he's reporting on games he should at least know the basic laws to retain credibility.

    You still haven't answered the question though. If it's not a penalty kick then how would you have restarted the game after the stoppage for the sending off?

    There's no argument and I'm not sure why you think you need to step in and mediate. I'm just interested in his/her view on how you'd restart the game if the penalty wasn't awarded.

    Impartial report or not, the point is that we got No Points. Zilch for all the endeavour. So nice performance, but diddly squat to show for it, back into the bottom four, a player banned for 3 games.

    So an impartial view in the report which says we can press and nearly match a team on the day, but still...............fall short.

    We are over 25% into the season, in the relegation zone, on target to get under 40 points.

    This is what is called an honest and objective view!

    I agree with the diddly squat bit,and I was suitably miffed with getting nothing out of the game as it was put on a plate for us.Why didn't Ball take the penalty? He's a striker !
