    I'm also looking forward to getting back to Valley Parade; however, I doubt I'll be going to the friendlies.

    However, it is clear that some people will not be rushing back anytime soon. Whether or not that is a significant number remains to be seen.

    I certainly agree with Ryan Sparks that iFollow should, for the time being, be part of any offering, if the EFL will allow it, as it will provide an alternative for those not so keen to return yet, and it will help with ticket sales.

    Irrespective of demand, this is the current position regarding capacity at 'outdoor' sports stadia, as per the government's guidance:
    • A default capacity of 4,000 or 50% of capacity, whichever is lower.
    • However, for larger venues (16,000 plus seats) a figure of 10,000 or 25% of seated capacity will be allowed, whichever is lower. [Note: a separate, higher capacity for Wembley has been specially set]

    So for Valley Parade, which currently has around 24,500 seats, the maximum allowed will be somewhere in the region of 6,125 under the current rules. Take out club officials, stewards etc, and we are looking at 5,500 at best.

    Of course, by the time the new season commences, the rules may well have changed (hopefully for the better).

    It's not easy to predict anything with this virus, but I think we'll be looking at around 50% of seated capacity at the start of the season.

    Recent reports indicate that the AZ vaccine is 97% effective on the Indian variant and that whilst it spreads faster its no more dangerous than any of the others. If we achieve "full" vaccination by the en do July there is no reason to believe it is a bigger threat than the kent one

    As long as is necessary. Containing a deadly virus is more important than going down to VP and mixing with potentially unvaccinated carriers of COVID.

    The third injection is a booster after a period of time. The first is 70% effective after about 21 days but with all sensible vulnerable protected August should be the time to move on

    The cure will end up being worse than the illness. The doom mongering predictions of SAGE haven't played out, and given the success of the vaccine programme, we need to crack on and take action by exception, rather than pre-empting doomsday assumptions for every new variant. And talk now that even if you're vaccinated you'll need to self isolate when instructed? They can get knotted.

    He has tweeted a few thinks regards updates lately . Nothing on the dugouts that I’ve seen as yet . He mentioned that the jct600 stand seats will be renewed first before moving around to the kop

    I don’t think anything has been guaranteed all these steps will only happen after a review of the previous step which is the right way to go.
    The last thing we want is to open things up only to have to shut down again the foresight in securing these vaccines and the absolutely brilliant work of the medics and volunteers are giving us hope for a much better future starting later this year and hopefully a full live season starting August or September.
    I also. Believe what we paid for the season ticket still gave us good value this season when many people now are paying £10 to watch matches
