After we failed to keep a single clean sheet in October, and after performing below average throughout, this makes tons of sense.

 

I'm pleased for him.For all peoples issues with him I have no doubt he is the first name on McCalls team sheet. He is our best footballing centrehalf by miles

And you wonder why this club regresses with that mentality?

A good(ish) week amongst a annus horribilus. If you seriously think a poxy award, a win against the worst team in the league with 8 wins in 67 and a win against some part timers is a good week, when we sit 16th in the basement league and a manager with 6 wins in 16 (worse than Bowyer) is reason for positivity, than I don't buy your thinking.

Its a poor start and the squad is threadbare but what I've learned over 2020 is I don't care (enough) anymore. Football finances is shot at our level and if we have a club fair enough. I want a new owner, investment, upwards movement but it ain't happening. Like I say I don't care enough anymore.

 

The worry is that you won't be the only one. It's all well and good Rhodes coming out with his sensible (on paper) approach to this season, but there's a lot more to it than just keeping the ship afloat in stormy waters. You also have to make sure the paying passengers will want to get back on board when the storm passes.

 

But the money is available and McCall didn’t use it all

Told you before Dave , Rhodes out, he’s been here two years, two years of decline and bizarrely gets to chose his replacement when he wakes up from his long meandering sleep/snooze. If ever there was an example of someone who can ruin a good product, he is it, 20 years of his poor decisions.

At least Rupp is putting his hand in his pocket when there is a shortfall.

I'd go so far as to say he's been our most consistent performer this season. Definitely the strongest out of the 3 centre backs. Still think he has a lousy attitude though

 

I was at Portsmouth and saw the infamous armband incident and I was not impressed with AOC at all.
But to be fair he's accepted that he made a huge error and has gone on to become one of our most consistent performers.
All our players make mistakes, if they didn't they wouldn't be playing for a mid table League 2 team.

 

It's good that he got over it and moved on.

Now hopefully he moves on in the Summer, too.

 

Definitely an attitude problem.With his experience he should be the player helping the younger ones.He looks more disinterested than most when somebody messes up.
