That is some passionate post and very little one can argue against, Sadly, the starting 11 was probably the strongest he could pick. We have a lot of players, most of whom are very similar in ability. Indeed GB's yardstick with his early signings appears to have been based on height. We need taking over by a fantastically rich lunatic, willing to write off whatever it would take to cancel contracts for unfortunately Stuart is saddled with quite a lot of theses backward running ball watchers for some time yet. Even at amateur level, you don't often see a forward pick up the ball in his own half, run unchallenged to the edge of the area then shoot without an opponent being within 8 feet of him.

We might have won Plymouth on our dodgy pitch, but we only really played for about 40 minutes. We were playing against 10 men then 9 on a dodgy pitch, and we barely scraped through. Let’s not kid ourselves. However, I think he has taken responsibility for picking the wrong team. He has a massive task for the rest of the season choosing 11 of the buggers who can actually follow what the manager says!!

 

And what about victories over Exeter and Swindon and all the other home wins. We have a promotion record at home which makes it’s a mystery why we are so bad away

Looking at this season and the season that SM left there seems to be a lot of similarities. Team in play offs for most of the time before manager is sacked, decent budget spent badly. Team slipping when manager sacked.

but the response to the continued slide seems different. I seem to remember Grayson getting stick for not getting anything out of a squad that had been in the play offs all season.

 

Well do what needs doing, drop the sodding lot of them and try the youth. The City fans will get behind these lads, don't care if we lose 6 nil it will be better than watching non trying, shirking so called footballers who are here wearing City shirts because nobody else wanted them.
