Me too. I'm with you on this one. However, he can be as animated as the Tazmanian Devil but that's not much use if he's up in the stands.

Give a manager with passion any day of week. Used to love a prime Jose Mourinho, charging down the touchline when his team scored.

Enthusiastic doesn't mean you need to keep complaining to the 4th official at every decision then getting yourself banned. One of the issues on Saturday was that Alexander seemed to spend more time moaning to the 4th official rather than concentrating on the game. It's also about setting an example, you can't be telling the team to be disciplined then losing discipline yourself and getting a ban for the 2nd time this season.
There seems to be a myth now in football that unless you are shouting and throwing your arms around you don't care or you're not passionate, all it tends to do is cover up deficiencies

Remember when some on here wanted him as manager...

Bit of balance is whats needed. The 4th official thing is a feature of modern football. Being constantly in the officials ear seems to be a marginal gain strategy. The logic seems to be that constantly being in their ear helps you get more favourable decisions. Managers like Steve Evans and his sidekick seem to have made a career out of it. I'm not sure if it works but I despise it.

Bit of a combination happening loss of captain illness in the team and now the manager in the stands. Hope it isn’t an omen

I fancy Alexander tweaking the formation slightly for this game and see us going 3-4-1-2 rather than 3-4-3.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Lapslie coming back in as kavs sidekick with Pointon playing just behind in the no.10 role. Pattison and Khela will be the holding midfielders as I don't see Sarcevic fit enough to start (unfortunately) I think Alexander will switch the defence around again with Kelly coming back in for Crichlow move Baldwin to the right instead of Byrne with shephard back in the middle which I am not sure if that's a good or bad move.

Watching Platt in the last few games for Notts he struggles against players that have a bit of movement and trickery so can see Kav getting the better of him if we keep it on the floor. I also wonder if Leigh comes back in the squad with Smallwood's suspension.

Defensively we need to out muscle jatta he usually sulks when it gets tough. Also we don't want to let mcgoldrick drop deep in space as he can run a game that way . Palmer is like Smallwood for us so need to stop him dictating the midfield. Not sure their GK is great from what I have seen certainly not as good as bass.

Personally I think it will come down to which defence holds out the best.

    I predict Alexander with go

    Walker

    Baldwin
    Shepherd
    Kelly

    Halliday
    Khela
    Pattison
    Tayo

    Pointon

    Lapslie
    Kavanagh

    Subs
    Hilton
    Johnson
    Bryne
    Wright
    Walker
    Mellon
    Sarcevic

Not a myth, that’s what I want to see from a manager , not some passive snowflake .

Sounds reasonable. Their back three passing partnership hate pace and being pressed and Jetta gets bullied and then frustrated . Tilt had him in his pocket last week and he’s no speed merchant.

Can not believe that the Midland Road stand is totally sold out, not a single seat available

    As I said yesterday
    Is the system playing up
    Lots of areas sold out
Only tickets left in top of main and kop and 6 in bottom of kop
Are we looking at a 20000 crowd

seems to be showing fine for the final game though so unlikely to be a system error
