The Accy suggestion might be wrong but the “nothing to play for” suggestion is still tosh in my opinion.
Professional sportspeople always have something to play for.

I agree with your last paragraph but I'd always rather be playing teams with nowt special riding on the outcome. Let's see what happens. However it pans out, it's been so much more enjoyable this season than many of the preceding ones.

 

I don't think signing another striker is the problem here, it's playing to the strengths of the strikers we have

 

I don't disagree about playing to their strengths but I don't think either Kavanagh or Mellon are up to it.

 

What are Kavanaghs strengths?

Because it isn't pace, it's not strength, he's not good in the air, his touch is poor, he can't strike a ball with accuracy or power and he tends to over run it when dribbling.

Apart from that though .......

I cant get onboard with the whole gives 100% myth. That should be a given.
I’d rather have better players that can change a game, that are exciting to watch but dont run around like a headless chicken.

Cook was able to score over 20 per season with zero service. Imagine how many he’d get now with creative midfielders and wingbacks crossing the ball? I think we’d be champions already.
