    Aldershot's away record in the National League is 1 win, 1 draw, 8 losses.

    They've lost 3-0 away from home 3 times, they've conceded 3 or more away from home 5 times - ie, in 50 % of their away games - it was clear we might struggle to break them down :joy:

    No pace, no aerial presence, no upper body strength, no skill to break away from defenders = Miller, Ball, Brunker, and Doyle. Jones who may have had the skill permanently crocked. Players who thrive with a partner who has strong skills in one of those areas. Jack of all (very poorly), masters of none. Morale down the pan, psychologically not going to score. The poorest combination of strikers I have ever seen. Those who brought them to the club as a group have a lot to answer for!

    George Miller thrived with James Hanson as a strike partner, Doyle thrived alongside Craig Davies, and Ball is best used in a front three as at Fleetwood, and alongside Kieffer Moore at Rotherham.

    The fact that someone at City has decided these are good forwards and should be signed without bothering to recruit a complimentary forward beggars belief.

    These lads are only quality if they're not doing hard, physical labour. The template is there for all to see.

    It really does represent lopsided and embarrassing recruitment.

    We deserve to be where we are.
