The parallels between Bass's time here, and Hornby's out on loan, are pretty clear to me.

Hornby's been dropped, we should drop Bass too.

No, I mean what I say.

Not my fault the experts sold Canavan in the most nonsensical move in...

    ...

    ...

Well, in truth, the club has been pulling moves as nonsensical as this most seasons, so I can't even be dramatic about it.

I find it ironic that the keeper our fans wanted out of the side is actually the best out of the 3.

Never understood the Horby love in and Bass makes so many poor decisions.

I personally thought it was pretty obvious ROD wasn't the problem, but some on here were like a dog with a bone on the issue.

We'd concede 1 goal in a game, and certain posters would be up in arms no matter what manner of goal it was - but god forbid it was a cross.

I'm not ROD's biggest fan, especially for the wages he will be on compared to Hornby who is no worse/ no better, but given what we have seen from Bass (especially the weak way he let in that pathetic daisy cutter second on Saturday) he would be benched for me (and Hornby recalled) with ROD given another chance,

A good night for us only Carlisle won
We have still got a 9 point cushion
45 points should make us safe

Some good draws for us last night.
Colchester, Stevenage and Leyton Orient look in awful form.
It might not even take 45 points.

Scunthorpe are doomed but potentially 6 teams, with relegation in their minds.

Be a great end to the season from a neutral point of view but as Carlisle have proven, couple of back to back wins and things can look better very soon.

For the record, we won't be involved in the fight but if we are, boy, Rupp, Sparks and HUGHES should come under intense scrutiny.

Hopefully they’re no longer our feeder club and our scouts can actually scout

It might be a good idea, if we moved him to the position he normally plays, i.e. CDM and actually allowed him to play more than four games on the trot in his favoured position.

We're in a relegation battle. Yet apparently, we can dispense with the services of someone who was the ring-leader of Morecambe's promotion, less than a year ago.

Yet again, we write off a player associated with another regime because we think there's a lot better out there. Similar to the attitude to Doyle, three years ago on these boards.

Under Parky we had several players who looked 'meh' one season, to look like new players the following one. Then we If had Mark Marshall looked rank under Parky - to become a new player under Mcall, the following season.

I simply do not get the dislike of Songo. It's clearly a subconscious dislike because he was much praised by a manager that some think is our worst ever.

A Songo playing to his strengths, will be an asset if played in this proper position.

Bass was totally blindsided by the three defenders directly in front. Can anyone explain what Paudie was doing, his actions were like what you'd expect from an opposing team member, trying to. obstruct the keeper. People seem to forget about some of the outstanding saves Bass has made made.

When we had Pickford, he made plenty of errors in his first few games. And was often a bit too rash, too ambitious in always coming out for the ball. Keepers do make errors. But I'll take that over the Richard 'it's never my fault, I'll just blame my teammates' O'Donnell any time of the week.

Let's also remember that this is a makeshift defence.

Hughes is not dropping Bass, based on last Saturday and nor should he.

I still can't get over the fandom for Hornby, who's just been dropped by Colchester. It seems to be the usual, if you've come up through the ranks, i.e. Hornby, FCD, Foulds - you can do whatever you want. If you've been brought it - you're going to get creamed and forever branded rubbish after a couple of errors.

Canavan's been sent off yet again, in what sounds like another last man desperate tackle - which you get when someone's legs have gone.

I'm puzzled at to which bit of Canavan's play assured you since his injury comeback? Was it his brilliant defending against Salford that led to their goal, perhaps?

He went to a Barrow team that had conceded less than us and his first full game was part of a team that leaked three goals!! So clearly no better than what we've got here (which admittedly says a lot!!)

I agree he should never have gone, without a replacement. But please let's not get misty eyed about him - his legs have clearly gone or he needs a very good pre-season.

Maybe MH will give Kelleher a go. He looked very good at Salford away, but awful at Carlisle.
Let's see if he can get a tune out of him.

We're on the boundary of a relegation dog-fight
Lose our next two and the teams with games in hand below us go against us, and we're right in the quagmire
    Two wins needed asap

I don't care about Canavan, per se, I'm not sure anyone does.

It's just more dummy business from a dummy club.

He did look good at Salford, so good they took Henderson off as Kelleher had him in his pocket. He hasn't played much since but when he has he has looked poor. To be honest with what we have I would put him back in and move Songo'o back to his normal midfield position.
