I certainly ain’t berating him, rather how and why he might have come to his decision making process.

 

Hugh amount of hindsight but I think things would have turned out quite differently if Barnsley had met the price for Lewis last summer. I doubt the fans would have objected to him going to a team at the top of the league above, the lack of move wouldn’t have affected him mentally and his form may have been different. It was a calculated risk going to Carlisle-careers aren’t long and money is important and maybe he thought he’d play a part in keeping them up?
From our perspective, we seem to have gotten very lucky with Walker-but also an inditement of our scouting that he was a Doyle recommendation.
You’d expect as a club to have a list of players for each position, in terms of preference, likelihood, experience vs prospect…. Or is that just common sense?

I personally just think he's one of those players who doesn't care about playing, it's all about money. He would play at Guiseley if they offered him £5k a week

Not aimed at you personally, just see a lot of fans rejoicing in his apparent downward spiral. I know of another player who did a similar thing, made a decision that he now regrets but that's football. Not every move for a player will go to plan. I admire the lad for backing himself at a higher level.

Agreed. I also think though, if the offers are close then Jamie stays. I genuinely think that he enjoys his football here.
