Its a shame really,it would be great to see several youngsters make their way through to the first team, rather than the odd one, who are usually not up to it, really hoping bobby pushes on this year and acts as encouragement for more of the youngsters

 

There's time to replace him, it's not a few days before the window closes.

I'm not convinced we'll find the right person to bring in though or be able to sign the best person but we'll see.

 

The problem is that 99% of them aren't at the level required now for promotion which is all any manager is interested in, even with Pointon he's still got a lot to learn and I don't think he's yet at the level of consistency that you'd need to start week in, week out also he can take too many risks and lose the ball in the defensive 3rd. I think Alexander will be good for him but Pointon will have to be patient again as he's likely to start the season on the bench behind Pattison

 

It would be a .mistake keeping an unsettled player in my opinion.

 

I can see a cheeky offer to Livingston as the window is slamming shut. 1 goal in 26 last season. Bring. him. home!

Maybe, but if GA is committed to playing two up front then a striker with confidence will fancy their chances at getting the second spot alongside Cook.

He was a good boy and took his demoted role for a little less money whilst Connor sellers called sparks a "see you next tuesday" got a severance and went on his way

 

Striker coach too....we struggle for goals and rely on Cook. Tells you a few things....

No, I included him. He has already shown what to expect by bringing in an injury prone Johnson. His other signings also look very average on paper.

PS if he was much touted, he wouldnt be at Bradford.

 

Fortunately football isn’t played on paper. I will lay you odds now if we go on and get promoted it will be down to the fact we appointed him from people on here.
We have a decent squad and before the end of August we will probably have a couple more let’s see what happens and if it plays out like you think you will be able to say you told us o.

Byrne, Baldwin and the injured Johnson are his signings. On paper that is a very bang average trio. Hardly gets the pulses racing.

Of we go up, its down to GA on the pitch. I dont think he has been given the tools to give us the best chance....

 

No, not really. Hoping that having GA in charge means that striker recruitment will be better.
I’ve been saying for two years that we need another genuine No 9 as cover and competition for Cook. Oliver is clearly not that man.

 

City have been given the green light to sign the player on loan they have been chasing for a while, the parent club had held up the deal because of his good form in friendlies and needing to sign their own players.

Only snag is he is now carrying a knock and the deal won't go ahead until he is fully fit, hopefully in the next 10 days.

Parker reckons will be a midfield player.

 

Interesting development the player must be someone to challenge Smallwood surely if he's a midfielder.
It won't be a back up keeper because it was commented on that said player had scored in pre season and was playing well for his club.
Should he join once fit I'd say he won't be cup tied either should we progress against Grimsby.
