Good man, I'm always optimist come the start of a new season, I'd still question the "most fans" comment.

Was it the pre-season testing video? There were 3 in the video that I didn't recognise. Looking through the club staff list, there was 1 who is the academy physio so my guess is that the other 2 were also youth/academy medical staff helping out which tends to happen often at this level.

There's nobody new listed on the staff directory page which they are normally quite quick at updating, they just don't tend to announce them or they are slow at doing it.

It seems strange to not have a fitness coach in at this time of the pre-season when they are probably at their most valuable, I can't see many wanting to leave in the middle of pre-season or clubs wanting to let them go.

Though classed as an interest free loan it was to protect his initial investment - as it was in his interest the club kept afloat too as well as for the fans.

And it had nothing to do with Covid unless Rupp had a very special crystal ball. It pre-dated Covid by about 12 months! The working capital provided at the time by Rupp which he later converted pound for pound into a loan was to pay for the financial damage caused by his former business partner. Imo, he was culpable in allowing Rahic to operate in the way he did.

    [QUOTE="Bigrod

Not ‘faith’, but anticipation and stoicism which drive me.

lts what l do. Support City. If l only went when they were winning, l may as well pack it in now, and support Man City, and then transfer my support to another club, when they start losing.

City till I die is very commendable and something I have absolutely no issue with and nor am I jumping ship to support a.n other "winning" team. The city situation hurts me I can assure you. But what I ain't prepared to do is continually spend my hard earned cash on false promises and wool over eyes pulling season after season after season. Actions from the club need to speak louder than words but as long as the happy clapping brigade continue nothing will ever change

Seems to me that until Rupp puts £5m into the playing budget everyone is calling fake, liar etc. When the money gets spunked on a bunch of "marquee" signings and you're still outside the autos in the next window you'll be expecting another £5m

I dont think anyone expects £5m. We just expect better than dross released by Notts C and Stockport.

I'm very happy with our business this season and believe we'll be right up there, made good singings, retained some decent players from last year and will hopefully have a few of the unjured players firing on all cylinders.
No grief with Mr Rupp from me.

The club have been asking people which players they want to see training pics of. Kav and Baldwin both pictured out on the training ground which suggests they are over their niggles but no training pics of Halliday or Johnson, and pics of them in civvies posted instead.

    Good signings as in plural?

We've only signed Sarcevic who has any sort of football league pedigree and doesn't play in the same position as our current player of the year. That's before we mention his injury record.

I get that you're permanently positive when it comes to City but "good signings" just simply isn't true.

I think Johnson is a decent player, can we keep him fit is another issue.
Baldwin and Byrne i know nothing about, so reserve judgement until they kick a ball in anger.
Wright could be a good addition and is young enough , time on his side

I hope those involved with signing the new players believe they were brought in to improve the squad, I really can't believe otherwise.

I forgot about Wright to be fair, I was mainly thinking of the defensive additions.

Sarcevic I'd rate as a good addition and I'm fairly pleased with Wright. Johnson is a strange one, unless it does turn out he can play centre half but first he'll have to get and stay fit.

The other two will hopefully just be back up as I think they'll be in a par with Kelly at best.
