    Bugger the statistics.

    It is always interesting to see what others have to say but outsiders don’t know the true feeling of helplessness we felt under Rahic as he destroyed the club week on week, nor the feeling of liberation and relief we’ve felt since he left.

    The whole club is buzzing again and the Bantams are back.

    Mansfield are the main dangers in my opinion. Cook and Maynard is a strikeforce up there with ours and they were a solid outfit last year.

    Can see Plymouth adopting the Bury blueprint with Lowe and five Ex Bury lads going there this summer.

    Salford made hard work of getting out of the conference and it will be fascinating to see how they get on.

    But we need to be aiming for the top three at least.

    The Racing Post Football pullout comes out on Monday I think. That’s usually well worth a read.

    Whilst being able to select who you think will win the leagues they also speak about what the reporters think.

    13 out of 18 reporters think we will go up automatically and 9 of that 13 think we will do so as league 2 winners.

    That's quite a lazy report I think. He has picked up on the new strikers because Vaughan and Donaldson are names he knows. He then goes on to say our defence was our downfall last season, without acknowledging that we have replaced Chicksen and Knight-Percival.

    Yeah, the whole thing's a token effort really. The Guardian's coverage of the Football League is quite superficial. Just thought I'd add it to the pile of pre-season guff.
