    There's hope for us yet! Only 2 of the bottom 4 teams in early November were relegated in 2017/18. I'd take those odds at the moment!

    And the bottom team stayed up comfortably.

    Unfortunately, I just cannot see it happening.

    We don’t look like getting one win, let alone stringing a few results together though. Do we look like a team that is on the verge of clicking in some way?

    Just hoping something fundamentally changes in the minset and performance of this team.

    Unfortunately not going to happen.

    Conceding too many goals.

    Even if we stop conceding, we can't buy a goal, so not for me. Nice thought though.

    Anyone looked at the 02/03 season?

    Was that the last tome we lost 7 in a row?

    Stayed up that year thanks to a good run in December and jan.

    We had more points than now admittedly

    Fingers crossed Storck. Hopefully, though we need significant improvement. Going down would be disasterous. Saturday is a very very important game I feel.

    As much as I would like to be proven wrong, not going to happen.

    We are the worst team I have seen in a long time. Even since Collin Todd's Bradford army, and we were really bad then

    I went on their forum and went back to Nov 4, and the things that stood out were that Graham Carey was still won player of the month and was getting in the team of the week - and scored a goal of the season contender, even when they were that low.

    The mutterings about Derek Adams were that he'd taken them as far as he could, but wasn't going to get fired since the club had given him a long term deal and couldn't afford to sack or replace him.

    But there was nothing like the level of despair, or the same sense of resignation. It probably helps that they'd been promoted the season before, and there was cause for optimism with direct Simon Hallett investing £5m into the club to effectively cancel off previous loans from other directors and to be used largely for stadium renovation.

    Our season may have been very similar up to that point, but the context of struggling at the foot of the table could not be more different to the position we find ourselves in.

    The off field issues may be different but the on field was the same. They couldn't get a win for love or money.

    Was just about to mention, we have no one with the quality of Carey who can create or score out of the blue and provide a bit of magic. Seen people mention Barnsley in the same breath too but the quality in their side too was on another level and just needed to start playing to their potential. We don't have any potential unfortunately.
