Having read through other posts, Darren Moore is another player I loved watching.

Those were the days when players were characters on and off the pitch

Can't believe it took so long for Andy O'Brien to get a mention.
And what about the legendary John Dreyer. Without his goal at Sunderland we wouldn't have stayed in the Premiership for a second season (okay, in hindsight that might not have been such a good thing)punk bantam and NorthernMonkey like this. -
Robbie Blake - how many times did he get you off of your seat? Class act.

Again some of the players before my time and not top 10, but Omar Daley for entertainment value alone must be top 20? Not mentioning the fact he made it onto Soccer AMs show boat!!

Seeing as it's personal favourites, for whatever reasons, and not just the "best" in terms of abilities etc., I went for a pair of obvious selections: Stuart and Bobby, a pair of solid pros who did a very good job for us over many years: Dave Evans and Gavin Oliver, and one from the recent past: James Hanson.
To expand that to ten as posters have been doing in this thread, I'd add Ces Podd, Paul Tomlinson, Brian Mitchell, Jamie Lawrence, and John Hendrie.
