The point I'm making is the lad is taking stick because of performances which took place before he came in, if the same player came in and we were top the same people would be saying something totally different. Not sure what's odd about that point? The management been a shambles isn't this kids problem.

 

So we have a 'strategy' of a development squad with the view to not having as many loans and then sign young loanees whilst some of our development squad go out on loan....so we can't get the 'strategy' right as well...you can't really make this up....good luck to the lad though...but if Colville and O'Brien do replace Akpan and Wright then again what does that say about recruitment....

I completely agree with him being unfairly criticised. The odd bit was about people complaining if we were winning - of course people would be saying different. He’d be an addition to a winning squad, rather than an inexperienced (not his fault) player coming into a losing side.

In the T&A Collins says "we've been monitoring Lewis for some time" so someone must have watched him play against Mickleover Sports and Conwy Borough.

Absolutely right Wilsden, I dont actually think the negative comments are meant to be about O'Brien but more to do with the areas we have NOT strengthened this week. You will always get some knobhead making a comment on Twitter just to get a raise. Good luck to Lewis - but think any player coming into our team right now is on a hiding to nothing

Its appalling to slag off a player before he has even laced up his boots for the club.

Agree with that but if I was the player, I'd be more worried about them farming me out to a place run by clowns(unless of course it is to demonstrate just how lucky I am)

Wonder what the loan fee on this one is, my bet is we'd have been able to sign someone on a permanent if we'd had a fecking plan

 

Best of luck to him, but i feel our problems will take a lot more solving than by recruiting another young loanee from Hudders.
