I've got 8 years of regression under Rupp to back up that cynicism though.

 

Regardless of who's footing the bill do you hand over money, presumably a hefty fine to the EFL and risk sanctions going forward or spend the money on pitch renovations and hope it's fit for purpose after substantial expenditure.
No brainer option Two.

Sparks & Parker could not be any closer, certainly have an agreement to only let us know what Sparks wants us to hear. Quite pathetic really

 

Or giving David Brent any credit for "getting extra investment". I'm an old cynic, but that bit of me says we were really only self sufficient because the sparkly thing knew that if he asked for money it would make his balance sheet look bad, so didn't bother.

The fault for being where we are is 99% Spearmint Ryano and 1% Benny ANdersson lookalike.

These are things he should have done from the start, he doesn't get applause for doing things he should be bloody doing anyway.

 

When Rupp has us one league above where he found us, a major cup quarter and final and has done that off the back of 2 recent administrations then I'm sure he'll be given more allowances. Sure, ultimately it is not his fault the pitch got into a state this season, but it's just another example of failure under his tenure. When a company like Morrisons fails, you don't blame the shelf stackers.

6% isn't a ridiculous interest rate when lending in such a volatile market. I've absolutely no problem with the fact that Mark Lawn wanted a return on his money and I'm pretty sure not many other fans do either.

In fact, if that's all you've got then I probably wouldn't have bothered because there's not a person on this earth that isn't called Ryan Sparks or Stefan Rupp that would have the gall to pretend that they've been anything other than disastrous for the football club.

 

He could have spent the bare minimum on the pitch, but is spending more to try and rectify issues.
No one on here knows the deal with Sharp that the club has, he might not have wanted the CEO role.
I agree Rupp's tenure has been poor. but i am willing to give him a little more time to put things right.
Especially as there is no knight in shining armour coming onto the horizon.
As i said lets see were we are come August.

 

It's not like it's coming out of his own personal bank account it'll be levered against the club in way or another.
