They actually now play in Santa Clara which is just short of 40 miles from San Francisco. So comparable to City relocating to……er……..Selby !

after a Quick Look they don’t.

Sam Francisco 49ers are owned by a family called York, Denise York being the head of the family.

Leeds are owned by 49ers Enterprises which is owned by Jed York, Paraag Marathe, and various other investors. So yep some overlap but not 100% the same people. If they are investing in 49ers Enetwrprises then it is not the NFL team they are investing in

Cannot charge them till they are found guilty can you.
Why is it boring because Man City are winning it .......... was it boring when Liverpool where winning most of the time during the 80s ????
Was it Boring when United where doing the same during the 90s and 2000s ?????

I think it's the way Man City play, I find them tedious to watch. A great side yes but at times kill games with pedestrian football.

Usually the situation is that there is a recognised process. Something along the lines of:
    • Allegation
    • Investigation
    • Trial
    • Verdict
    • Any Penalty if case proved
In employment cases, people are often suspended from work. In criminal cases, some people can be incarcerated on remand.

So no you are not found guilty before you are charged.

Not watched the PL for around 2 seasons, I'm sure I will again at some point but I've not missed it. Competitiveness is far more important to me than quality of football, provided it's not appalling. Watching Man City pass teams to death bores me to tears, I went to one of their champions League games a few year ago, terrible atmosphere and a one sided game. I'd rather go watch someone like Halifax as a neutral.

I may be an outlier here and strange may it seem but I enjoy watching Man City for the technical side of it. I bit like chess is the nearest comparison I can think of. Your description was quite apt, pass teams to death, but the sensational explosion of technique once that “gap” has been created is pretty amazing.

Their speed of thought , passing ability and running into space at just the right time can be jaw dropping at times. Most of the players seem to be capable ( within obvious reason) of playing in any position on the field .

On the opposite side of the coin , Palace were for different reasons an excellent watch last night too. Man U however, were absolutely appallingly bad.

Same. Don't even bother with Match of the Day anymore these days as it bores me to tears most of the time. Used to do a couple of fantasy leagues every season up to about five years ago as well but wouldn't know where to start with it now because other than the few household names, I haven't got a scooby about any of the players and have zero interest in finding out about them.

Yikes Kev, a game of chess you've somehow made t sound even more boring. Each to their own, but the technical side doesn't excite me tbh, I'm not a coach. Give me fast pace and the odd mistake, some of the best games are when there are mistakes causing goal mouth action. Don't get me wrong I want some level of technical ability in the players and not just John from the red lion. But as Klopp said, football is rock and roll not an opera. His best Liverpool teams were the best to watch in the modern era for me.

Likewise, I've not watched MOTD properly since Alan Hansen was still knocking about. Even when I did watch more PL football it didn't really appeal to me tbh. The only highlights I watch are city's and our divisional rivals to see how things are going.

That's the nature of NFL franchises as the clubs are sold to new owners. The Las Vegas Raiders for example have previousoy been the Oakland Raiders, the Los Angeles Raiders, the Oakland Raiders (again) and now the Las Vegas Raiders! Sometimes, the clubs merely change locations and sometimes they move and change their location name. And we get concerned with the possibility of moving from VP 5 miles up the road to Odsal! ;)

Is that more down to the other team just simply sitting in not wanting to get beat ?????
You tend to find that when teams do after City then it becomes a decent game.

Not sure mate, all I know is a tend to switch off when they are on. I prefer a less perfect but more entertaining (imo) style like Palace or Luton. Never gonna win anything up there because of their openness but I prefer that.

Im 37 and dont think Ill ever see Bradford in the Prem again. We struggle to get out of league 2 never mind getting close to the top end of the Championship. Sheff Wed nearly went down with a wage budget of £14million. The average loss across the championship is £15million a season. We would just end up like Rotherham imo bouncing from the Champ to League 1 if we ever got a decent owner. The Premier League is a completely different animal altogether and if anything the gap is getting larger. Forrest have had to spend a quarter of a billion just to scrape out of the relegation places and well Burnley, Sheff Utd and Luton have barely laid a glove on anyone.

It feels an incredibly long way away, and I'm 99 % sure we won't get to the Premier League in, say, the next 25 years.

But you're right, it can be done, all of Brentford, Bournemouth, Luton Town and Brighton were nothing clubs in 2000.

They lost over £16m in their promotion year and over £6m the year before, so must have someone bank rolling them behind the scenes
