I like Oyegoke, and when you consider how long he was out he has slotted back in well. He's pretty quick, decent in the air and he can play out from the back and is relatively calm. I can see why GA likes him and i'd be happy if we have him next season. Oyegoke also really wanted to come and fight for his place too. I'm sure he had no choice but after his injury he could have shirked it, but didn't.

No slight on JT as i think both have potential.

Oyegoke is "decent in the air"?

I thought it was May not April 1st :joy:

Agree that’s his weakest link. I’d still take a chance on him though.

I probably would too. He's definitely improved over the last few months and has the pace and confidence to dribble the ball that we need in a back 3. I just worry about him in the air as he doesn't really look like he wants to compete but he certainly has the physical attributes if he can be coached to position himself and time the jump better.

    Centre back.
    Lewis Neilson.
    20 years old.
Just played a full season for Partick Thistle in the Scottish Championship.
    On loan from Hearts.
    Got really good reviews.
Unsure of future despite pledging to fight next season.
Could we nip in and get him??

I'd kick off by getting rid of Smallwood and McDonald that should free up good funds to go towards getting 2 more high quality cms in to go with Walker, Pattison, Chapman (who I like but will probably go) and Gilliead, with 2 good additions our midfield would be sound.

Is this the summer transfer window thread?

    If so, have a rumour.

For me, it all depends on who Alexandra retains. As it stands. I agree with your view that we need quality in central defence and another to play alongside Smallwood. But that could all change depending on who is still here at the end of the week

Stubbs suffered a fractured skull against Doncaster, if it's not healed yet, why would there an update.

My exact thinking. Heading and timing can be coached for sure.

The problem with players like this young lad is we already have one on the books , the same age and getting rave reviews along with interest from the Prem and CC?

Hey it a rumour though. .;)

Has it healed? Was he close to a return? Has there been a setback? An update on all the injured players is good communication. We had cover with Tomkinson so it wasn’t as if we were trying to surprise the opponents. I’m guessing they didn’t want to risk him, but that’s just a guess.

If all contracts are signed, our squad looks as follows:

    ----------------Cook-----Young
    ---------------Oliver-------Kav
    -----------------------------Smith

    Richards--Pointon--Walker---Haliday
    Wilson-----Odour---Pattison--Gillead
    ------------------Smallwood
    ------------------McDondald

    ------Kelly--------Platt------Odusina
    --------------------Stubbs
    --------------------Taylor

    --------------------Walker
    ---------------------Doyle

So the priorities are two athletic centre backs, one left and one right sided. Perhaps a third if Odusina goes.

Another left wing back. Gillead can cover both sides, and Wilson will be moved on.

Given Walker, Pattison and McD struggled for fitness, probably another CM. Someone to compete with Smallwood.

If we can ship out Oliver then another physical striker to compete with Cook.

Think the 3- 4 players told to look elsewhere will be smith Wilson kmac and Richard’s plus odisina and Oliver so 6 spaces spare

I would be surprised if its Richards. Still young and not let us down when he's played. I think he can only improve

He started average, got decent , got injured and went backwards for me and hasn’t recovered since.
