    Otis Khan. Did anyone else on here have the misfortune of been at that memorable (for all the wrong reasons) Yeovil cup game when he ripped us to shreds? It was a bloody freezing day and our performance was so bad made my blood cold rather than boil!

    He is 35 in June, why would we want to sign someone in the extreme twilight of his career? Cookie is our senior striker. We have Jake Young returning and Kavanagh and Smith. On the books is the prolific striker Vidaine Oliver. No need for another striker unless we can move two on and sign a serious upgrade.

    We should be looking at players in the league below who are around 22-25 and excelling in that league.

    We've never had the patience to develop up and coming players. The demand from the club and supporters is immediate impact. That's probably why we've never looked down there.

    He was decent for us to be fair but always looked like he was on his last legs! Probably one we should have extended his contract for another year or two at the time.

    I recall O’Brien, decent spell. I was surprised he dropped out of the league at that stage.

    But over how many years is that list from? We tried and gave up probably because we don’t give managers time to develop them, certainly since Parky. I hope Wilson is given an opportunity because he has something that is useful against league 2 defenders and that’s pace and trickery.

    I won’t disagree…..but we can only have so many in our squad. The lad will struggle to find game time, there is no longer a reserve league. My view is we should have a squad of 25/26 players. A duplicate team, plus an additional defender, midfield and striker, a goalkeeper at a push.

    That’s the biggest issue when doing away with the reserves. I know some of the cat a clubs use their fixtures to give over age players a run out, but it’s too costly to achieve that status right now. I suppose loaning them out to non league will defeat the object. It’s catch 22 really. If they aren’t instant hits they’re discarded unfortunately.

    I've always liked Liam Moore and was a good player for us on loan, bit concerning a player of his calibre has been let go by a mid table L1 team but he could be the old head at the back we need
