We needed to better Chesterfield's result, which was helped by the violence that took place at Hull that day as our game ran about 30min behind theirs, so we knew what we had to do prior to the game ending.

 

West Germany v Austria 1982 tends to spring to mind for that game. Both teams making no effort to attack safe in the knowledge both sets of fans go home happy with a draw.

Times like this, I don't see any reason to expect anything. If it happens, wonderful, but I won't get upset if it doesn't. It's very unlikely, not in terms of each individual reult, but just expecting everything to go in our favour.

We can expect Crawley to struggle, we can expect Barrow to struggle, we can expect to win... but that's three moving parts right there and any one of then can go awry.

FWIW I think Crawley will get the win.

 

This is all above what we expected, so a bonus. None of us imagined playoffs. All we are in control of is our own game. We can’t do anything about the past games only the ones in front. We will just have to wait and see how it all transpires. You just never know with football.

I think I might just listen in to what those around me are saying.

I suspect the scores will be made clear in good time without me actually having to check. But if it gets to like 20 minutes and I've not heard a thing, I probably will start checking lol

 

This league is totally bonkers this year isn't it? A couple of weeks ago our season looked dead and buried and around that same time, I posted praise for Donny but said I thought they'd left it a little too late to reach the playoffs. How wrong I was. We've had such a rubbish season so to be where we are going into the last game still with the slimmest of chances of making the playoffs just shows what a poor league this really is.
