We miss out by that margin then it simply shows how god damn awful this league is and how yet again our recruitment has failed us.

 

My argument would be that it was silly to do that and when it got to such a critical point with a lack of central defenders he should have switched to a back four.

Alexander’s lack of formation flexibility worries me because if he's going to stick so rigidly to a back three that means we're going to have to have more defenders in the squad than perhaps a "usual squad number" and that means less money to invest at the top end of the pitch.

Our problem has been creating chances and scoring goals in the last two seasons and that's where we need the investment, not extra defenders.

 

Can see it ending in tears there new plastic fanbase probably think they are on a easy route to the PL when all know it wont be that easy

 

Btw for anyone the dream our run has come against holiday mode teams lets see what happens in the next two games when we are up against teams with something to play for

 

Fair play to Parky, i would argue this is just as good if not better than his promotion season at City merely due to the pressure he was under. No one really batted an eyelid when he took over at Bradford, at Wrexham he's got millions of eyes on him watching their every move. Yes he got undoubted financial backing but that's.not a guarantee of success, if anything it ramps up the expectations levels. They've got some big games to look forward to next season.

 

Let Wrexham enjoy it. Great fans and had to deal with near misses for years. I have no issues. Look after our own ship. A average to good side can get promoted. Over to you Rupp.

 

A lot of their fans wanted him out. There was a point where they went on a wobble and even the talismanic Mullin was dropped. There wouldn’t have been any tears had he been fired from a lot.

that said, it seems he crucially retained the owners backing and fair play he’s turned it around.

I think he’s done well too, but the expectation from their fans is insane.

i think they will go up again in the next few years but then the project will come to a halt in the Championship.

I think their current squad dictates that they don't go up next season, a lot of half decent league 2 players on league 1 money already. I can see them flirting with the playoffs next season though with the feel good factor. That said I feel no malice towards.them, I wish it was us in their position, some potentially big games next season while our highlight will be Chesterfield or Notts County. I'd say Doncaster but they might pull off a miracle and go up. Damn I miss those league one days when there were games to get excited about.

 

I can see us beating Barrow. Their recent form is shocking (although our arseholes go in these situations!) That said be good if they can beat Donny and Crawley. Donny are flying though so I expect them to grab 7th.

 

Gaz I meant the ones who stuck by them when they continually missed out on promotions year after year. I liked them and the Race horse ground was always tasty. Just my opinion but good fans who stuck with the club.
