With Town looking for an alternative venue to the Shay for their game against Oldham, tomorrow night, what are the chances they could use VP?

Be better off going to Huddersfield.

Or just flip it to Oldham. Short hop over Rishworth Moor.

Surely Hudderfield Town is closer for them, and the pitch is playable there. I mean our pitch is as bad as theirs. Imagine moving it to our for it to just be called off after todays rain.

They could have played at Thrum Hall if it hadn't been demolished ! Any one else but Oldham and I've had said Horsfall would suit, but I guess Oldham fans will travel in numbers for this.

Just have a gander at the table. This is Oldham's last chance at the play-offs so they are likely to travel in numbers for this one and Halifax fans also have a big reason to attend this as they hold the last play off place.

If Oldham beat Halifax then they go within 2 points of the play offs with 2 to play. If Oldham lose they are out of the running and a draw leaves them needing snookers. Halifax won't want to play at Oldham as it would give Oldham all the incentive they need to push for the play off spot they are holding.

I’m sure people were using Halifax as an example of a good pitch a bit ago

They were, and then a few days after, Halifax had a game postponed due to waterlogged pitch!

I can't see them using our pitch unless there was absolutely no other options as it would be too much of a risk with the rain since Sunday and the forecast for tomorrow isn't great.

Huddersfield would be the logical choice as it's a much better pitch and the next match scheduled there is Huddersfield Town a week on Saturday so plenty of time for the pitch to recover if needed.

Whatever they do they need to get it rearranged very soon as the season ends on 20th.

It's a big problem across all of non-league at the moment as I don't think there is any league which doesn't have a few teams that are looking at Saturday/Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.

Have you seen the schedule for Truro?

I've seen that before, it doesn't look like they are the only ones as well and it's a big issue for all of non-league. Tonight Gateshead have desperately tried to get their game on but it's been postponed, their current schedule is Thursday/Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday with tonights game to fit in so that will have to go next Thursday. The schedule is bad enough just on the face of it for Truro but when you factor in that the 'home' games are a nearly a 400 mile round journey. Luckily for them they are probably just far enough away from the relegation zone so they only probably need 1 win to be sure of staying up. I assume they are part time players so no idea how the players will be able to get to the games with work never mind play them at a decent level.

Gatesheads postponed game at 7.25 against Aldershot would irritate the hell out of me, especially if I was an Aldershot fan
