I can certainly see why so many found this to be a pain in the 'arris.

Even if the system isn't sensible, he'll at least explain it clearly lol

Not sure why I put myself through this yet again but renew done. Currently feel like the bloke who's handed over £250 to the scam auctioneer who's promised me a time share in Puerto Banus but then find out the keys are to bedsit in West Bowling.

Well, I finally bit the bullet and renewed my season ticket today. I just hope the planned changes in the hierarchy down at VP have the desired effect and we can finally escape this hell hole of a division.
It was my first game back yesterday since October due to a double hip-replacement surgery and the fare on offer was pretty dire to say the least. I was hoping that it might look a bit better in real life than it has recently on ifollow but if anything it was worse! Anyhow we won so it inspired me to renew.............. Not really, but after 55 years of following my team I'm not going to give up now, after all it's our club not Rupps, Sparks or anybody else's. The fans will still be here long after those, the manager and the player's have left the building.
Come on City do us proud next season!

Hopefully with some acknowledgement of understanding why sales are down and an announcement of an extension of the early bird price.

It will be very interesting to see if sales are down and by how many.
I know a few that said they would not renew, actually did in the end.
With the increase in price, it could be we have an increase in revenue.

That is very true. He also deflects responsibility from himself and is more likely to say he was fully expecting sales to be down due to the price increase rather than acknowledging fan discontent.

    Sales suspended until Weds/thurs.

poorly communicated - how many others changed plans to get logged on this morning to try move seats?

pretty poor the ticket office was shut yesterday too given their was a seat renewal deadline. Clearly club weren’t expecting many late sales!

Thanks Jon. I wasn't looking for a new job but you never know!

Seriously though, this isn't rocket science. There's absolutely no reason why this couldn't have been properly explained beforehand. It would have avoided some of the pressure on the ticket office staff and reduced the concerns of the fans with less time spent on the phone or travelling to the ticket office. Some of those at the club including the Director of Ticketing and Supporter Services fail to think ahead and take fans for granted.

I am surprised, given they set a deadline to renew seats last night, the ticket office was closed yesterday.

yes its a Sunday, so why set the deadline on a day you aren’t planning on opening the shop - even more the case when you are implementing a new ticketing system you already know, from fan feedback, is causing teething problems.

half arsed approach and they are winging it as they go along. Fans in Kop have complained the Atmosphere idiots are invading and now they have an earlier period to swap seat, yet the fans being forced to move out of the NW corner - equally annoyed by the atmosphere move due to their own blocks closing - have to wait until Thursday.

i know there will be plenty of spares, but still, why are lower Kop fans given preference over moving seats? Ill thought out, lazy stuff again from the club.

closing the NW corner seats (row 9+) makes zero sense. Its the moron section standing up, not us normal fans with a brain. The stand still needs stewarding for those in first eight rows and bottom tier.

we’re closing the stand with one of the best vantage points in the stadium, and it makes little sense when the club said the atmosphere idiots are standing and causing safety concerns…..and they are no longer going to be in the top tier!

I think it was wednesday/thursday ish last week they put out a notification to say the sales were suspended and seat swaps weren't available until Wednesday morning. But they should have put a refresher out yesterday on the deadline for sure. When I renewed on Friday I asked about swapping seats and if I could do it online but the chap at the office said he doesn't think so, best to call or pop down. Reading the release again, they dont mention the ability to swap online either.
