New TV deal with Sky. iFollow will effectively be replaced by Sky Sports with all non Saturday 3pm games show live on Sky Sports's streaming platform. As an absoulte minimum these games will be shown live on Sky:
    • Opening day
    • Mid week games
    • All 4 international breaks
    • Boxing Day
    • New Years Day
    • Easter Friday & Monday
    • Final day of the season.
In addition for the other rounds of fixtures 10 EFL games will be shown on Sky Sports or the streaming platform, this will be split up 5 Championship and 5 from League 1 & 2. Also all Carabao Cup & EFL Trophy games will be available to stream.

The minimum each season will be:
    • 328 Sky Bet Championship matches
    • 248 Sky Bet League One matches
    • 248 Sky Bet League Two matches
    • All 15 Play-Off matches
    • All 93 Carabao Cup matches
    • All 127 EFL Trophy matches
As the 3pm blackout will remain it does mean there will be more fixtures moved from with usual 3pm slot. It's not been said how they will split the games but I'd expect the majority of games to be Friday 7:45, Saturday 12:30 or Sunday 12pm with the odd Monday 7:45 if there isn't a Premier League game. There doesn't seem to be a minimum amount of games per club from the Saturday 3pm slots or whether it will be a 2/3 split between league 1 and 2 each week. I'd expect we'll be on often as we'll get the best viewing figures but the positive change they've made in this is that they'll announce all of the picked matches up until FA Cup 3rd round weekend before the start of the season so it at least gives fans chance to plan for the 1st half of the season before it's started without worrying about Sky changing the game late.

We lose out financially though? We received £300,000 on ifollow but we only receive £200,000 from Sky? I presume small clubs will gain from this deal?

Yep we will probably lose out. Not sure what we got this year from Sky but probably not £200k but we will have got something.
We will still get some from iFollow as it will be available overseas and we don't know what split came from UK/overseas.

When approving the deal, our CEO said it would hit us financially until we got into League 1.....gone well so far....

I think people have become more savvy with how they watch matches over the last year or two

I’d be amazed if we make anywhere near 300k nowadays from ifollow

With iFollow still continuing for people outside the UK I think we'll make a dent in the 100k difference as people will just do what they do now for games during the blackout. The one area it will help slightly is with selling pitchside sponsorships as it should mean we can get more money for it with more games being shown live in this country. There was also a mention when it was announced that facility fees would be applicable but there was still a debate to be had as to how that is distributed.
The Championship is where the majority of the money will be going as the split will be 80%/12%/8% between the 3 divisions.

Is the £200k a downside and clubs get extra if they're actually on the telly or is it simply every L2 club get the £200k and that's it?

Will all this be included in my regular SkySports package or will I have to pay extra for streamed games?
Edit- by the way thanks for the detailed summary

Sky should keep football as a complete separate subscription from other sport as I don't have sufficient interest in any other to warrant paying for it ....but that's maybe just me ..!!

To me this suggests that it will be included for people with a Sky Sports package assuming red button was included in that

Oh for the days when we just went to a game cheered our team on win or lose, then look forward to meeting your group usually in the White Lion on Johns Street to go to the next game, life was so much easier.

Don't forget a couple of random Scandinavian footballers who only arrived at the ground a couple of hours before kick off. #nostalgia

I saw that we had plenty of cash in the bank and thought it meant loads in comparison to the total losses rather than £300k, but maybe that is loads for end of financial year for a L2 football club

Of course we have loads of cash at the end of June each year. Many of us have parted with our cash and given it to the club for the coming season's season ticket. It happens every year. It's all sitting in the club's bank account waiting to be used to pay players' wages. ground lease, club's bills etc etc. I'm always surprised that it isn't a larger amount.

Topp was years after kammy but think along with schwarzer, sas and Pinto, you’ve got the main ones.
