I’m not saying he’s the best man for the job, and he may prove not to be, but name me a manager that could make a team out of this lot?

Don’t disagree. However Smallwood appears to be undroppable because, through fault of our terrible recruitment, we don’t have any other option.

In regards end of season when he does have a choice, I couldn’t agree more. Ultimately he’s been a disappointment since signing.

This performance just sums up our season. Lack of guile, lack of skill, lack of energy, etc, etc. Pathetic.

 

You may be right but the amount of inconsistent and quite frankly bemusing performances put in by most of the players…. I’m not sure any of us could have confidence that they are able to follow instructions or play to any type of formation or game plan? He might be totally clueless…. I guess time will tell

 

Well Mark Hughes pretty much did last season. Starting 11 this term vs last term hasnt changed too much???

Anyway, lack of quality aside, its the inept tactical decisions, awful long ball, inability to pass, baffling subs and lack of motivation thats the issue.

 

I’d love us to be mediocre.

 

if it is down to the players an not the managers tactics, why didnt he make changes at half time? why wait until after the 60th minute to make a change?

What today has shown is that we can end this myth that one of the reasons we've played so poorly at home is because of the pitch. We've had the chance to play on a good pitch and failed to complete so many basic passes.
