If we start with the same line up against Tranmere then i can see us winning this comfortably

We lost 0-5 at Bury. I was there. We were stood on the seats and the steward threatened to throw us out. So we all stood on the seats.
It was this and results like it in that end to the season that convinced many supporters Jewell wasn't up to it.

Are you sure? I seem to recall getting beat 0-5 and the following season winning 5-0 at Gigg Lane.

Funniest thing about the day:

The police had closed all the pubs. Me and my mate had been on the train, had a few and couldn't find a pub open!! Bumped into 2 blokes and asked where was open, 'nowhere' they replied but were members of the snooker club, we'll sign you in as guests if you want! So we were signed in, played snooker with these 2 blokes for a couple of hours and said our farewells as we went our separate ways to different turnstiles. Chant from our fans in second half was about a 'poo**er in the pink', was only one of the blokes we'd been playing snooker with. We caught each others eyes and just went into hysterics!!!

 

Come on today city! Really looking forward to this one. Let's put a good performance in and get them 3

I doubt any supporter would prefer a defeat, but yes, let's get the win and round off what's been a good week all round.

 

Would be nice to keep the playoffs mathematically possible for at least a few more games.

Absolutely. And when we ultimately fall short by 4 or 5 points I’ll be firmly pointing the finger of blame at Hughes and GA, not Rupp / Sparks.

Fair enough, but the shortfall of points required for the playoffs can only be attributed to recent results and for that, GA has to take the blame.
A good manager would have dropped Cook months ago, told him to stop sulking and get on with the job he’s paid £5k a week to do.
