The statement from Rupp also mentioned that sustainability wasn’t working, the same statement those people are praising. You can’t have it both ways. It certainly won’t be sustainable with next seasons season ticket sales.

 

He will need to arrange a reasonable interest loan with one of his other businesses in order to maintain a healthy budget.

 

As a direct result of the protest the owner, who you clearly adore, has come out and apologised for neglecting the club and has said he will now inject money into the club on the playing side.

The timing of his open letter was noticeable.

No need to thank the protesters m8. We did it for fans like you who are just happy to have a club to support.

I wouldn’t say a handful yesterday was just the 1st protest if things don’t change I’m sure there will be more and no doubt the protests will get larger and louder but will you just sit there mocking people who try

The letter was issued the day before the protest and yes it's quite a coincidence isn't it that Rupp opens his heart out to the fans the day before when he has been silent for years.

 

Please stop showing yourself up! I get it you don’t support the protest, but lots do. I didn’t go to the protest yesterday but fully support it. I was one of the thousands who didn’t turn up.

How about an uninterested German and his megalomaniac partner who then proceed to rip the heart out of the club destroying all previous hard work/success
Then appoint a rookie CEO who fails time and time again to appoint a decent manager whilst paying out thousands swapping them
Introducing a sustainability mode which won't work next season has it ever worked !!!!
Then just for good measure appoint a head of recruitment to squander what little budget we have on over the hill has beens on long contracts

So exactly who do the Rupp out protestors think would improve matters
Rupp has the finance but just needs the motivation and I’m not sure yesterday’s protest is the way to do this
If it persuades him to dump the club to some penniless enthusiast-god hep us

 

Agree, the fans are voting with their feet in their thousands. It’s years of dross that has now accumulated in this really poor season. Everyone is wondering why we didn’t add a few decent signings to last seasons squad and go for automatics. Instead we rip the team apart and start again. Truly bizarre.

On paper mark hughes, Gary bowyer and Derek Adams sll seemed like good appointments and have had reasonable success before managing us.
Are they all appointments you were unhappy with at the time they were appointed?

We're not in loads of debt, we're run the right way, it just hasn't come together on the pitch hopefully soon it will and all this bollocks will be put to bed.

Too many fans think we're much better and bigger then we actually are.

There is no question Rupp responds to public acts of protest.

Absolutely no question at all, and he did again this past week just as he did a few years ago.

The protest wasn't in isolation, yes, the huge absence of fans is of major concern, but other actions will be more appropriate to deal with that: deadline extensions, for example, are a more appropriate response to lack of renewals and uptake.

This week's letter was specifically aimed at the protest.
