Selective reporting at it's best. They also chanted get out of our club, as well as sell the club. Combined message is move aside I think.

Parker getting some right pelters on his twitter/x on the report on today's protest, unfairly in my opinion because he didn't write the article. This is where Parker needs to look balanced in his reporting, he loses a big section of the fans for been a scooge of the club, he's finished.

I’ve mentioned this before but have a look at the T & A headlines on Twitter.

It’s just full of who has been caught with no seatbelt,on their phones and speeding on Manchester road and the bottom of the M606.

The whole rag has absolutely nothing going for it.
An absolute joke of a newspaper.

It's the way of social media. On his business account, he links to a bollocks article and fans respond. I'm totally on the side of he didn't write it, however, his twitter account reposts the content in the exact same way he does for all City content. So unless you took the time to look at the author, probably 7/10 fans assumed it was a Parker piece, because all city things are Parker pieces. He should have tweeted it out or whatever media he used to say this article is by "X writer" and would have saved half the agro.

Obviously it makes the sniping easier because he's gone out of his way to ignore or belittle the protests all week. But he didn't write it, people shouldn't be gunning for him, but before sharing it online, cover your own arse Simon!

You are correct, we absolutely all want the same thing. Success on the field. It’s why we bother turning up.
Why not give Rupp the chance to backup his letter, renew season tickets and get behind the team from the first game next season.
If the letter proves to be bollox then Rupp will have 100% lost the trust of every Bradford City fan including myself.
He won’t surely be stupid enough to let that happen.

Because he hasn't already backed up previous letters and has already lost trust, that's why.

I'm renewing but I have heard the rhetoric before. Is there a potential that waiting for the first game of next season, that the damage is already done?

Well we arrived around 2.50 no sign of any protest whatsoever. The photos suggest a very small percentage of the 15,000 Season Ticket holders.

What was far more telling was the actual number in the ground. Huge amount of gaps. I would guess around 8,000 at the very top from City.

Rather than having a very few outside the ground, far better that all the protesters go to the game, say with a whistle, and walk out blowing them at an agreed time, perhaps after 8 minutes to reflect the length of ownership.

Today was a tepid affair at the very best.

Well there was a very decent amount at 2.00 or so when I was there.
It's had coverage on BBC Look North, BBC Radio Leeds, Calendar, was even mentioned in the review of the game on BBC Football. We've had some sort of communication from Rupp for the first time in ages.....it's a start.....

Were you likely to renew anyway?

There's been no change at all so far, so no reason for me to change my mind about renewing, personally.

I'll actually be kind of annoyed if I feel like they're pandering to fans by, say, installing something that's not quite a Director of Football and basically keeping everything the same.

I'm not renewing as things stand, but will be inclined to just drop the club altogether if they can't be bothered to make real changes.

I really don't think Graham Alexander is the right manager, I know for sure that Ryan Sparks isn't fit to be CEO, and I have no confidence we'll be free of Rupp's shadow any time soon.

There were about 400+ there shortly after 2pm. There were maybe 150-200 keener protestors and another 200+ less active or just curious. Most were not behind the banner. 50-100 chanted against Rupp or Sparks. 200-300 sang "we want our city back". A few started to filter away when there was some swearing. I left when it was repeated after a steward had requested loudly but very politely that they stop. I was more in the less active/curious camp and did not want to be associated with supporters that ignored a reasonable request from stewards. Most pictures and video I've seen seem to be after half those there had moved on. I was in my seat at 2:15.

Given 8 to 9000 home fans were in the ground at kick-off, 4-5% were at the protest just after 2pm, so not insignificant. A few hundred protestors will be of little concern to the club. The real concern will be the apathetic few thousand that did not turn up at all and will not buy season tickets next year. I bought 8 last year. I have renewed 6.

Everyone left around 2:30 to either go into the ground or back to North Parade.

Most were not behind the banner - Indeed, because it was only a small space so not physically possible. But it has raised the profile and got airtime on local TV and radio......as I said before it's a good start.....

Have you registered with the ISG Rod? Always need ideas....
It was always gonna be a small percentage of the 15000 ST holders and for the reason you stated, there wasn't 15000 ST holders there!!
I'd much rather take some action than no action and continue with the status quo.....

The T&A report is utter nonsense. Brad Deas has always been an abysmal journalist.

The true figure of the protest was in the hundreds. Easily.

And the supposed arrest was nothing more than a misdemeanour - witnessed it myself. The guy in question was apologetic and willing to pay for the minor damage.

I’m with you, we have heard much of it all before but aside from saying enough is enough and walking away from the club completely, what else can we do except trust that this time it might be different.
The only owner who’s ever delivered on his promises was GR.

So hes done nothing to gain your trust since the last time he put out a similar statement years ago but puts out another statement and he's now gonna put it right? How long do we actually wait to see him actually do something, in fact anything?
