    Well I thought the performance was good, we’ve learnt a lot from that. It’s been a difficult week for us, we were hoping to get some bodies in but unfortunately we’ve lost one for who knows how long. You know, these sorts of heavy defeats happen from time to time, the lads gave 110% and never stopped trying, never gave up trying. We’ve a great bunch of lads, spirit in the camp is excellent. We’ll dust ourselves down and implement what we’ve learnt on the training ground. We can’t win them all. On to the next game where we go against talented hard working opposition who’ll be looking to bounce back after their own defeat.

    A tough week, not reading too much into the Barnsley defeat, they were class. Macclesfield a worry. Get a feel we just need to take the shackles off a bit and push on. Hopefully McGowan stays in. Maybe a switch of Riley to left back chicksen just seems to get targeted by opposition. Would take a draw but would not be surprised to get a win. Claret tinted glasses on I see a 2-0 comfortable win

    Sorry, B87 - But Barnsley were NOT class. Above average, yes.
    City were poor, yet again against Macclesfield.
    As many have posted .............. How will we bounce back ?
    I've gone for a Draw, but another close defeat won't surprise me.

    Barnsley were very good, I'd say one of the best looking teams we've faced since been in league 1 !

    Barnsley we're very good a lot better than both Wigan and Blackburn from last season but we are shit far too negative and short in midfield and upfront

    We will not play a better team in the league this season than barnsley. Bigger, stronger, faster. However i do not see barnsley improving much with the core of their team staying together from last season.

    We on the other hand do have improvement in us with a vastly changed team. We’ve got to stay positive. 2 league games in and some are hitting the panic button

    Perhaps.
    But look beyond any window, just to see how poor City were, to allow any team to look good.
    It continued against a poor but willing Macclesfield team.

    City have a side of good players. That side has yet to become a 'team'.
