The letters missing the paragraph where Ryan has decided to step aside to allow for meaningful change at the club.

Words are cheap. It’s actions that matter. Whatever triggered it, it’s a start. Can’t change anything without a start. What happens next and when it happens is now what matters. If it does n’t happen or it does n’t go far enough then those that don’t want to don’t renew. It’s our choice.

The budget is a strange one, someone must have given Sky the information because I doubt they have financial details of every club, and whoever gave them it you have to wonder how they know. Does every club have to declare their budget and share it with every other club and the media or something? It’s always seemed like one of those things that Sparks is just guessing at. He said last season that we had a top 3, then top 7 and finally a competitive budget at various times. Tbh I’d be surprised if we have a bigger budget than; Wrexham, Stockport, Mansfield, MK Dons, Salford, Gillingham and maybe even Notts County. We lost Watt to Salford and Williams to Gillingham, it feels like we are fishing in the shit pool with late loanees every season, it just can’t see it been a great budget how we act. Tbf we blame Gent, but his targets might get poached elsewhere and we’re left with scraps.

I don’t buy for a minute that a lack of budget has held us back this season.

we spent the money we did have, poorly. We also backed the wrong horse in Hughes. Whoever decided to rip apart last season’s foundation to move to 5-3-2 is also hugely to blame (maybe it was Hughes’ call too).

Stefan seems to intimate he’ll invest more and hints that new staff may be coming in. The only issue is fans won’t see any proof of action until after the forthcoming ST deadline has passed, and it may be too late now. The damage has been done.

Rupp has been taken for a fool, again. The fans have reservations for as long aa Sparks is here and won’t be easily pacified.

Words are just hollow at this point until we see some changes. Until we’ve a DOF in (Jags?) and as others have said improvements to the fitness department I won’t be holding my breathe.
Protest tomorrow I hope still goes ahead and gets some wider coverage

If and it's a big If he's going to throw player budget funds at the club for Sparks and Gent to spend then he deserves all he gets Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results etc etc
Not selling to someone who could possibly make the club worse/not have the clubs best interests at heart is priceless
    He's already done that
    See my scepticism now

Sounds to me that this open letter is a play for time. Maybe there is something else brewing.

Its a play for time and desperate attempt to boost ST sales. Nothing else is brewing. At most we'll bring in a DoF, but that'll be a token gesture and done on the cheap.

Why, after 7 years, is he all of a sudden going to start putting material amounts of cash into the club? He isn't.

    I see right through this.

Of course i see your scepticism
    We are all the same.
People make mistakes in all walks of life, as i said lets see if he is true to his word.
We can as a collective keep up the pressure if we do not see any improvement

Don’t know what people want? Damed if you do damned if you don’t. The hatred for the club is beyond belief.
It’s a season to forget, everyone is disappointed. If you have followed City for many years there’s been more disappointment than pleasure. That’s football.
Suppose in life you can make a choice and choose to follow or not.
What gets me is you don’t have to drag everyone down with you.
It’s time to get the pitch forks out and burn effigies of those you don’t like.

We'll have no trouble appointing one. There must be a kid in the gift shop ready for a promotion....

I don't come on much but when I do I am taken aback at how petty and childish most of the posters are.

Most come across like primary school kids stamping their feet and complaining that he, she, they aren't doing enough but never offering a solution or offering to do more themselves.

Rupp has communicated. He has admitted mistakes. He has stated he will rectify those mistakes.

    What more do people want?

Only thing missing in my opinion was that as he was putting his hand into his pocket he was going to seek a similar commitment from supporters and would be raising the ST price to £350. Now that would have had the Year 3 contingent stomping their feet and thrashing around on the floor.

    Would I pay it. Yes.

    Grow up for christs sake.

There is no hatred for the club, there's disdain for those running it. What do people want? People want action - IF Rupp delivers on today's statement by materially investing, resolving the ownership of the ground, and appointing capable leadership of the football operation, people will be delighted. But there's valid and justified scepticism because he's been here 7 years and done none of those things, nor has he delivered on almost identical previous soundbites.

Oh, an people would probably appreciate more communication from our owner than every couple of years, and only in response to the most recent crises that emerge.

Not sure about nothing else brewing, but I agree with you regarding the injection of cash. If there is further cash it will only be a sticking plaster job.
