Given the overwhelming silence coming from the club, I don't see anything changing any time soon.
Sparks has been a complete disaster, however my thoughts are that he's probably met the brief given to him by Rupp.
Rupp as we know, has absolutely zero interest in football and has no intention of putting in more funds than he already has. So we have the 'sustainability' model where progress and promotion are seen as a bonus rather than the number 1 objective.
For the first time, we are about to see a significant drop in season ticket sales which will inevitably be countered by a reduction in the players budget for next season. If this means another mediocre season, then honestly I don't think Sparks and Rupp care. Rupp is distanced from it all anyway and is more than happy to let Sparks take the flak, whilst Sparks is too arrogant to give a toss!
And so the cycle is likely to continue, but of course this model will come crashing down if we were to drop out of the league which is where we are heading under this regime.

It’s like flipping North Korea is Bradford City. Simon Parker’s latest report is an absolute joke, it’s like Sparks and Rupp are paying him to make them look good and the protests are pointless because Sparks works hard ?! When this is all over the T and A need to think what direction they’re going in. Is it side with the club or side with the fans or maybe just be balanced? I remember when Bolton were in loads of trouble and their reporter was a big reason in ousting their terrible owners and getting the mainstream media involved to help them. I can only wish.

I wish Sparks was working extremely hard on writing his resignation letter

It’s Same thing is happening again with the local press as it did 2018. Mangers and CEOs at time covering Rahic up in the press. I remember Grayson, Hopkin saying something similar and Mason.

Simon Parker is in bed with the club and no one is challenging the club publicly.

Guarantee when Sparks and Rupp go hell begin to dig them out. This club is totally rotten and again thinks fans are all just silly fools!!

Looks like he's on the edge - time to double down.
They'll be an article about 'mental health' next.
Fck off Sparks, cos' it's gonna get worse.

Well it will be six seasons in league 2 next season, our highest finish in 5 of those seasons? 6th. We've tried numerous managers, a player inventory as long as your arm but to no avail.
So, without change, how will next season be any different to the last 5?
Because, as it stands, that season ticket take up is looking in danger of being 25/30% down as a result of this.
But hey, the CEO tries hard.

    Really poor journalism.

Parker would be better engaging with the fans and of course getting that interview with Rupp and Sparks

If they won’t engage, then that says a lot about them and he needs to come out and say so.

Censored journalism is poor journalism. Almost like working in a dictatorship being told what you can and cannot say

Simon Parker could do with switching out to another local paper/club at this point.

Spot on, it's like every everything today, modern news media or pop culture critics frightened to go off message.I just can't watch the main news channels anymore and it seems this sort of reporting is in our local news.

Parker is simply a mouthpiece for the club. He's not going to be part of fixing this. He's a part, albeit a small part of the problem.

And the statements from GA are simply another indicator of how disconnected the club is from the fanbase. Its also a perfect demonstration of the mindset of the club, they genuinely think this is a bit of temporary noise generated purely by a bit of bad form. Anyone surprised? It's also emblematic of why we're concerned; the manager position is always the most vulnerable at the club. He can take a position of dismissing whatever came before and whatever comes next. It's why most fans aren't getting hung up on whether GA should go or stay. He's adding himself to the sh*t list though.

The relationship between club and fans is broken. Face it folks. We're on our own.

Most of the time when people say Parker is a lazy journalist, I sympathize with him, as I appreciate he can’t bite the hand that feeds him.

however, there are key moments in a football clubs history where you have to think ‘sod the cushty relationship’ with the club, because you are supposedly writing for the fans and owe it to them to ask the questions. Tbf, Raynor does it on Radio Leeds.

The situation the club is in right now is as serious as the periods in admin, when buckets were out collecting.

we have two years left on the ground lease and must think carefully if we need to commit for another 25 years. All of the goings on at the minute effect our decision whether to enter a new lease or buy the club.

we have worked hard to build up our fanbase but once you lose customers it takes years to get them back.

rupp neglected the club by giving Rahic too much power and taking too much of a back seat and he’s put his faith in Rhodes and Sparks, who aren’t delivering again. Sparks is just a bullshitting blagger who blows smoke up his own arse but gets appointments wrong time and time again and refuses to take support offered.

Rupp is happy to exist in the khazi league as expenses are less and it means he doesn’t have to inject as much to get by.

‘getting by’, aka being sustainable, is not a strategy the fans want to buy into.

feck off Rupp, feck off Sparks. Pull yer finger out, Parker, otherwise you’ll be reporting on a phoenix club in non league in a few years or sent to cover the Bulls.

    And look at the headline:

'Boss rallies to the defence of Sparks'.

Wouldn't it be nice, if, just for once, someone at the club 'rallied to the defence of supporters'?

Supporters who've seen their club regress more than pretty much any other in the country over the last 7 years, a relegation, the pitch descend to a level that an amateur club would be embarrassed by, shambolic recruitment, one owner to which supporters had to literally jump on a plane to see run out of town, another one who couldn't care less if he tried, the twitter admin put in charge of running the club with no oversight or control by any board or experienced football professional, 10 managers in 6 years and who regularly boast the largest home and away following outside of the championship - only to be ignored or worse, blamed.

Dead right I'll be at the protest tomorrow. And whilst I won't be violent, neither will I be peaceful. I'll be making a hell of a din and I implore others to do the same.

Defended? We can't even get a f*****g conversation.

It's like Parker needed something positive from the interview on people running our club.

The supporters have had enough it is as simple as that. They are literally flogging a dead horse if they think this will go away regardless of ST sales regardless of empty paid for seats, and regardless of how the team play the rest of the season. Parker et al need to straighten their shoulders because the fans will turn their back on them if they continue to defend or excuse the inexcusable!!
