    It's no surprise, mate.

Ryan Sparks can't see why we'd need a knowledgeable football man at board level. He has no idea why people are calling for a Director of Football or, preferably, his immediate replacement. He hasn't a clue.

He's not going to suddenly start connecting the dots. People like Simon Parker are saying "but it's not Rupp (and by extention Ryan) missing open goals and conceding howlers" or whatever dross he printed after the 5-1 embarrassment against Mansfield, so he's going to feed his ego on such nonsense. I've no doubt those in the board room aren't giving him the hard word, either. So he's going to say "but I didn't lose that game 3-0", and assume it really isn't his fault.

It absolutely is his bloody fault though. Not tonight specifically, we all know he didn't possess those players and take control of their limbs, but he's brought us to this point with a series of decisions derived from utter bloody incompetence. He's been getting decisions wrong for years now, and this is where we've ended up as a result.

Sadly, far too many apologists will be telling him otherwise.

Sparks ain’t gonna resign after a run of bad results. Maybe at the end of the (failed) season, he’ll play the martyr card and fall on his sword. “Taken the club as far as I can, but personal threats has made me realise that there’s more to life than football, and I’ll pass the reins over to someone who can look at the club with a new pair of eyes” or some such non apology gubbins.

Rupp ain’t gonna sack him, cos alarmingly, I think he doesn’t think Sparks is doing a bad job. To quote Parker’s theory “it’s not Sparks who is missing open goals”. Stefan saw eleven players lose a football match badly. That’s what footballs about right? If Mark Lawn was there, I really hope he told a few home truths. But what do we know? Nothing. Absolutely no communication from Rupp or Sparks these days. Even when he turns up out of the blue.

In the prediction league I went for a 1-2 loss for us. I actually contemplated 0-3, but thought no way is it that bad. Turns out it is. Even GA sounds like he’s given up. When he got arsey at the very first post match question, it reminded me when Stuart was losing it (and games). Followed by loads of waffle. I wouldn’t be suprised if he walked at the end of the season.

We laughed back then, but Derek Adam’s pretty much predicted all this happening.

    Depressing.

We will be meaner and leaner and will not settle for mediocrity.

If he sacks Sparks who will take over in the interim? Rhodes again? Rupp I'd imagine wouldn't want to base himself here for 3 months, running a job he has no clue about. We need a Knight in shining armour to rid us of them all, but that ain't happening any time soon. Once GA sees the budget for next year he may well walk whilst he's still got what's left of a reputation.

You would have thought Sparks would have done the decent thing by now and resigned. That way he gets to leave unscathed

The anger, frustration and bad feelings running with some fans will make him an even bigger target as the season limps to a finish. I can only imagine what would happen if a disgruntled fan saw him out & about one night, and was that way out

Sparks just go now please. Take Alexander and Gent with you.

Go sell advertising boards at wakefield trinity wildcat's, something you might be good at.

If you think this is fulfilling any sort of ‘mandate’ you are utterly deluded.

The gigantic mess we are now in shouldn't be in any way under estimated. We are heading one way and one way only:
    Disinterested owner
    Clueless CEO
    Inconsistent performances (good run/bad run/good run/bad run)
    Baffling managerial team selections
Fans starting to vote with their feet (and boos)
    A worsening pitch
Poor recruitment/quality (waste of playing budget)

I could probably go on but pretty much a clean sweep is needed right from the top. Only issue is "where on earth is that going to come from"

After Saturday and Rupp seeing with his own eyes and hearing with his own ears just how bad things are, the absolute bare minimum he should be doing by the end of this week is issuing a statement to reassure fans that matters are in hand to address the situation. If that doesn't happen are we to assume that now he is back in Germany, it is out of sight, out of mind?

The issue here is, Sparks will be well paid and answers to no one. Where else will he get the salary he is on now and the freedom he currently has. Absolutely nowhere, which is why he will not resign and will be required to be removed. However Rupp doesn't care and won't remove him so we are in a catch 22 situation where he won't go and no one will remove him.

    That is so funny.

Where did you find it? Is it a poster from the VP reception area?

Maybe it's the work of the club's new Digital Media Content creator? ;)

It was onside who posted it. However I think it had been sent out to Grimsby who are in dire form who are interested in the deal.

Trawled through Companies House earlier looking at companies Ryan Sparks has been involved in
    Mirfield Stags Limited
    Matchless Media Limited
Sparks Publication Limited (Name Changed to MJC Promotions Limited in 2012 After Sparks Left)

Minus Ryan Sparks involvement in all three, the only other thing that connects them is they are all DISSOLVED. Not exactly a good look for someone who's a CEO of a professional club. Although companies can be dissolved for various reasons, it's quite telling.

I don't see Sparks resigning as he's not exactly going to get a CEO job in football again. Although Featherstone are struggling financially, so if there's a vacancy there for CEO soon, then I'm sure us Bantams will happy give Featherstone a glowing reference. Unless there's any Bantams who are Featherstone fans who'd not want him there.

Sparks is not a Football man, everyone knows the 2 sports he loves.

It's time for Rupp to transfer him over to the commercial/marketing department, in which he's done a decent job. Although that is mainly down to Davide Longo etc.

There is a Mirfield United, not sure if it's the same team or not. Never heard of Mirfield full stop, to be honest.

It's possible those other two were just stuff Sparks made up to add to his résumé.

Perhaps if he's so successful at delivering sustainability Mr rupp could move him and gent sideways and appoint them to his racing team. See how many races he wins in his allegro when it's been maintained by Middlesbrough kwik fit
