I don’t think going on the pitch is required personally but what I do want is the stadium all calling for his head, I want banners and I want people outside the main entrance with the media there to highlight it all. I want people not associated with our club to actually sit up and realise that we are serious.
I don’t want it to be hostile but i want it to be uncomfortable for him. While we do nothing he sits in his box without anyone to answer to.
His little fans forum was a joke and an insult.
We have 14-15000 season ticket holders. Even if 500 of them got involved it would make people take notice.
You don’t need violence and potential game disruptions to get your point across but we do need some exposure. The time has to be now. We’ve bottled it in the past and people cried about a fly over but now look at the state of us!
Ryan Sparks’ position is untenable and if he won’t leave by his own accord then the fans should put as much pressure as possible (peacefully) to get him to resign.

I felt sorry for Alexander and some of the players before but after this last week, to hell with them too.

i think we need an urgent boycott of a game this year. Would be hilarious to see just a few thousand in the Sunwin, rest of ground pretty empty, while Sparks is still announcing a 16k gate.

pathetic football club, run by utter muppets.

Sparks running BCAFC is what you would expect to happen if you let a passenger fly the plane.

He has no experience at running a football club, but he will never get this chance or salary again so he isn't going to quit. He will double down and drag it out as long as he can regardless of what happens. The only person with the power to remove him is Rupp who it appears really doesn't care and has probably already written off his investment in the club.

I'm all for protests but the man who has the power to do anything isn't going to be affected by them 500+ miles away playing with his race cars.

One would hope Mark Lawn would be able to approach him and offer to oversee the transition to a new CEO so a proper selection takes place, rather than picking the first person who walked into the run on the day of selection.

How? There was barely anyone there last night, and those that went wouldn't do what you're suggesting because they think they're uber fans

That’s just the thing, the guy probably has kids and a mortgage and won’t just simply hand in his notice without another job lined up, would you? Would anyone?
Also, there are no grounds for his sacking unless his KPI’s haven’t been met or he’s committed gross misconduct so Rupp sacking him would only incur more costs for unfair dismissal probably reaching into hundreds of thousands.

At this stage putting him on gardening leave wouldn't be a bad idea. If last night's crowd is anything to go by the match day income till the end of the season is going to totally dry up, and when cuts are made then I will bet you his head won't be on the line.

The part time worker steward, turnstile operator, bar staff or tea bar person will be the one who is told not to attend work.

I can't believe Sparks is hanging on.

Read the room, for goodness sake.

He doesn't like the heat getting turned up anyway, and while there's no cause for abuse or outright nastiness, there is cause for proper protest.

He reminds me of Sunak hanging on desperately for no other reason than to bleed the club/country of every last penny.

If the fans who are not renewing, because of the current owner/ situation, turn up to this one, its a bank holiday and most will be off work. Show the strength of feeling by then walking out and going home or down to town for a drink etc.
Its no good posting on here , if you are not willing to actually do some thing, that is peaceful, not illegal and will get noticed by the press etc. The silence will speak a thousand words.

Several. Fan protests stopped the European Super League venture.

Liverpool fans protested against the club's ownership by American businessmen Tom Hicks and George Gillett. The protests eventually led to the owners selling the club to new owners, Fenway Sports Group.

In 2019, Arsenal fans protested against the club's owner, Stan Kroenke, over his involvement in a hunting channel in the US. The fans organized a petition and a social media campaign, asking the club to cut ties with Kroenke. The protests led to the club's decision to distance itself from the channel and to Kroenke's son, Josh, taking a more prominent role in running the club.

    I've nabbed this quote:
'Protest is positive. Protest should not be glossed or dismissed – even protest people on the news can package up as unacceptable. Protest will not always be well behaved. Sometimes incoherence is the only reasonable answer to an unreasonable situation.'

There's a difference between peaceful yet disruptive, and violent protest.

Oh I can. He doesn't believe its his fault, and will almost certainly be acting out of self interest. He's never getting another CEO job in a million years.

He is the CEO of a vastly under performing company, surely the company directors can remove him from his position.
He aint going to walk, that's for certain.

You're right of course. I've even said the same elsewhere about him genuinely not believing it's his fault... but it still boggles my mind... the nerve of that guy.

Although I disagree he won't get another CEO job. Maybe not in a company owned by anyone who knows what he's done here, but certainly elsewhere. If the CEO of Southend United (whoever really) applied for a job, that's a head turner, and likely to garner serious interest. The less known about the actual performance the better.

You think those boycotting the games are going to turn up a Bank Holiday? They won't, they will be on the drink, going away or working. Anywhere but going there.

Would anyone on here walk if in Sparks shoes, i doubt it very much.
Unfortunately he has done the job asked of him, not spend the owners money.
When it comes to football the lad is clueless and should never have been recommended by RHODE'S.

There are currently 2 directors listed. One is the accountant and the other is Rupp. Of the two only Rupp has significant influence or control as per the PSC statement.

Which leads us to the catch 22 scenario. Sparks won't quit and Rupp won't remove him.

Rhodes selecting him having had people the likes of Baldwin and Mason working for him is really really baffling. It's as if he did the Smithers thing in the Simpsons by selecting someone incompetent to make him look better when he left.

What is your suggestion then? Not turn up at all, that's already happening. Something needs to be done to get the message over, that is not braking the law, i know they could not arrest everyone who enters the field of play, but what about maybe the 10 or so that might be detained and then get a banning order from all football, for three years i believe.
Rupp obviously isnt taking any notice of letters sent to him, will not even receive them apparently.

I'd be up for this however, the apathy that runs through a lot of our fans will render it a non starter.
