Yes Reading fans did invade the pitch & protested peacefully & to some extent it has worked
There owner is trying to sell the club & making statements in the media
    Ours are Silent
But there players are still playing good football & winning games
    Our players aren't interested

Correction, the players are interested but just not good enough. The fault of that is wholly Sparks , Hughes and Gent, not Rupp

Go to Germany, protest at his office and stop the staff from working. Make the news in Germany; it'll then become news in the UK and would have more of an effect. The last thing Rupp wants is bad press in Germany

That's what most are doing, only downside is the negative it has on the club over the coming years with reduced budgets etc.

If we kick up a stink now, there is still time to force change at the top and purchase said season tickets once that change has been made

Pitch invasions/breaking the law won't achieve anything. Mods should remove any suggestions of this.

Absolutely no chance. One of the millions of tourists wanting tickets would snap them up.

Man Utd could potentially fill the ground with day trippers, they absolutely don't need season ticket holders.

And end up getting arrested with a possible charge/ banning order ? No thanks. This kind of protest would get very ugly, and would also bring back very bad memories for people who ended up on the pitch after the fire.

Yep. He did a deal with Wycombe to sell their training ground to bring some quick money in but it turns out there is a clause in the planning permission for the training ground that means it can only be used by Reading, this has also caused one set of Americans to walk away as they wanted to use the training ground for American Football. This clause has also reduced the overall value of the club

I think that's a bit of a poor take if I'm honest. Nobody mentioned that around the pitch invasions what accompanied various cup wins, premier league survival and end of season games

I get your point, but this is a completely different scenario though isn't it. Those invasions are joyful and celebrations in most cases. A protest pitch invasion, by it's very nature, is done in anger. Tempers will boil over, fans & stewards might end up in a fight.

We have a seen a couple of invasions, where there was nothing to celebrate, that had potential to turn nasty and police/ stewards have had to form a barrier to stop fans getting at the away end.

Either way it's illegal, so anyone entering the field of play risks arrest, and potentially risks the club incurring a points penalty because of previous flare incidents. At this stage of the season such a penalty could be for next season.

Furthermore, it could impact on our ability to recruit in the summer. Certain players might not want to come if they think we turn on players (who would be directly impacted by it). All it takes is one idiot whose had a raking of ale and/ or columbian marching powder to take a pop at Cook or Smallwood and the poopoo will fly off the whirly thing.

It's not a good idea. By all means protest, but do it legally and peacefully and above all aim it at the ownership not the players, however badly let down we might feel by some of them.

I for one will not set foot on the pitch, my white trainers would be ruined and if I wore wellies I would be easy pickings for the stewards running after me.

On a serious note some kind of protest needs to happen as we are in an even larger mess than our pitch.

The bell end school leavers invaded the pitch when we went down there.

    Agree with this 100%.

However angry we might be about the running of the club, I would hate for anyone to get injured as result of a pitch invasion.

For me communication is key at this stage. Rupp et al and potentially them going, will take time. That's a reality.

Will fines for the club be in the best interests of the dwindling club coffers? Because you and I will ultimately pay those fines

I doubt it because South Asians think Manchester United are a God like being. They don’t even need spectators at grounds whilst the Prem is funded by Countries and Sky.

Starving CC, L1/2 clubs of income won’t help at the opposite end of the spectrum?
