    Some rough old pubs back in them days.Remember going in the Belle view for the entertainment when I was probably seventeen.Didnt know where to look

    Big hotel opposite Manningham Park gates , forgot its name ? Only place open when we played Leeds once . Carlton on Queen's Rd . Two or three we went in on Lumb Lane , Percy etc

    Crikey it must be 40 years since I last saw him , what a small world . The Belle Vue and Spotted House was my parents night out in the 50’s, so quite an emotional tie with the place in some respects.

    We went to his 80th birthday the other year at the central division up Manchester Road. He is still sharp as a tack but has unfortunately had to have both legs amputated. Still loves a flutter on the nags though
