Unfortunately he doesn't see owning the club in the same way fans do, much like ourselves.

You are not soft or weak willed. You are supporting our team the best way you can. That is your decision, and I respect it. This is not the time for name calling fellow fans it is the time to put on our big boy pants and big girl pants and tell it how it is whether you renew or not.

Yeah, that tends to happen when they haven't had a chance to change things. It's called continuality. They literally did nothing it was already in place.

    Exactly.

Notice nobody points fingers at folk who never once attended a game. Or those who might be buying their first ever ST.

You've changed your tune. Your narrative used to be you only wanted the uber loyal supporters there, now your're worried that low ticket uptake might hurt us as a result.

It is what it is, sad really that were in such a sorry state that fans have to point the finger at each other because the product on the pitch is poor.

Pretty much everything else stayed the same, the team, etc. It wasn't until the following summer that Edin though he was was playing football manager.

Parky's judgement was spot on, get out the door asap.

In your opinion when do you think Edin and Rupp started to change the course of the club to "their" vision. It's wasn't the first year, I'm actually sure that Rhodes stayed on in that year as part of the transition. I mean maybe he suggested Sparks to make him look better. I remember the first thing Sparks did was to extend McCall's contract before sacking him shortly afterwards.

Stuart inherited a descent squad and added to it, putting his arm around Mark Marshall and getting a fantastic season out of him, with regard's his backroom staff when Parky was brought in to talk salary rise with Julian & Mark he said it had to include his team, not merely did he have a strong squid with regards players who had a strong mentality and were comfortable playing in front of 18/20,000 fans his backroom team were just as important, the likes of Parkin, Allenby, and Butler, following him to Bolton then Sunderland.

The club will be viable prices have risen and walk ups will probably increase. Prices will probably go up again next year closer to the norm accross the leagues. What will happen is the true size of the club will be revealed when people have to pay top dollar

I'd buy a ST if we had ownership and leadership at the club had credibility, ambition, willingness and the means to invest, and a plan that could be bought into. Regardless of the level.

People would pay the ‘dollar’, you’ve got your head in the sand if you think fans are voting with their feet because of price not product!
But unless we’re flying then walk ups most certainly won’t increase!

Someone people have to make a serious choice about attending football games. People being priced out because they have financial commitments elsewhere doesn't make the club smaller. You have to create a balance between the two.

15,000 paying £200 is better than 10,000 paying £300. Yes the figures for both are the same but with 15,000 in the ground you sell more food, drinks, merchandise, etc, it's more appealing to sponsors, etc.

Still this all means nothing if the product people are going to watch is utter bilge.

I didn’t say that. We don’t know how many won’t renew but there will be plenty that do and the shortfall will negated by the price rise. Going forward lower gates will mean further price increases and we will be back to the sort of gates we got before cheap tickets were introduced. Some people won’t renew because of the ownership some won’t because of poor performances but there will still be a decent amount will

I sat and watched the ground literally empty out by half time. I know the ISG had mooted staged walkouts but it seems nature is sorting that out already.

People not wanting to renew are now deserters, rats leaving a sinking ship etc etc ad nauseum . In reality they are normal people not wanting to give RS any more money to spaff up the wall. They have had enough. They no longer believe in the club, its message or its values.

    Who can blame them?

The loyalty has worn off, no in fact it's been systematically eroded over the last 6 years. People are worn down by the constant dross at home games. The expectation that FGR et al will just do us over and they often do. That Mansfield will come and give us a new arsehole and they did. It goes on and on. Predictably repeated stale boring performances. We have a good home game in every 10 perhaps.

As a result the club is rapidly losing the casual fan in droves.
The product on the pitch is simply not good enough. It will be a minor miracle if the squad is improved enough next season to be anywhere near the top 7. We are that far off. Miles. Anyone can see it. Some don't. Enough do though.

Rupp is at a watershed moment and I bloody hope that Saturdays debacle has somewhat focussed his mind.

I'm getting to the end of my tether with the club but match day allows me to spend quality time with my sons, followed by pint or two. It allows a bit of release from the weekly norm. That overides the usual dire performances I invariably witness. One day father time may take the opportunity away from me. So for me, that's why I'll renew.
