I told him that IMHO we spend too much on older players on bigger wages and would get better value paying small transfer fees and not just looking at free agents every summer they get a free for a reason. He actually agreed & said it was something they were looking at

He also said in his opinion we have to any players on loan.

The main problem holding us back is the rent on the ground he told me. The price to buy VP is £5M he said. I told him he was a very rich man he could lend the club that money or get a mortgage on it. That would solve the issue and in the fans eyes buy him a fair chunk of favour.

Buying Vp is something he is looking at.

I told him look around at the empty seats, the pitch the club needs investing in properly and that won’t be cheap but long term the rewards are worth it.

He admitted he’s seen how low the crowds are. I told him it’s only making his investment value lower unless he does something.

He holds all the cards. He alone has the power to do something about it but the status quo of just bobbing along doing the same thing doesn’t work. He wouldn’t do it in his business so it’s not any different in his football club

Got to be somewhat confused as to why he is keeping silent yet spills all the beans to a disgruntled fan. Come out and make a bold statement about what you want to do with the club. Give us something to buy in to. All we have is the Spark spin machine and we are all done with that.

 

I walked out about 6.00 behind Rupp and Mark Lawn. They had clearly had a great deal of feedback from the fans! It will be interesting to see if there are any statements next week. Personally, think we need to stick with manager and let him build on a few decent players and some good youngsters.

Sorry I am simply not buying into this notion that Rupp doesn't realise how bad things are. The guy is an experienced and shrewd businessman said to worth in excess of £100m. Following the f*ck up with the Edin era, does anyone honestly believe that Rupp would make the same mistake twice?? Not a chance

In my opinion, the only reason he said what he did to the fan confronting him, was to appease him and others in the immediate vicinity, knowing full well that once he was out of the way then he wouldn't have to face anyone again

Shame the new supporters trust couldn't have hand delivered the open letter to him, seeing as the copies sent by courier haven't been acknowledged

Did anyone even know he was going to be there on Saturday? I didn't realise he was there at first I thought the anger in the main stand was aimed at GA not being in the dugout. Then I suspected that's where Sparks sat and it wasn't until later that I was aware Rupp was actually there.

 

I think it has always been clear where the buck stops and that is with Rupp. I think he was badly advised in terms of the appointment of Sparks as CEO and I think he has naively put all of his trust in him since then. Those are big mistakes and hopefully he is finally starting to see that now and will take action. There are no excuses for him not to after seeing first hand on Saturday how bad things are.

 

Well if that is true, then if he didn't realise on saturday that his club was going down the toilet fast, then he never will until it is too late

 

Yes I saw it reported somewhere a couple of hours before KO. Also Sparks favourite media mouthpiece, Simon Parker, had announced on his X feed
