I’m sorry but I can’t be supportive of fans who aren’t supportive of the club. Constantly pissing and moaning about the regime and price rises yet then pretend to be the biggest fans in the world when times are good. The word is fickle

That’s the problem, is that the rebels don’t want to be seen to be enjoying a win because that would grind against all the protesting and letter writing.
God forbid we reach the playoffs and go up, the rebels against the regime won’t know what to do with themselves.

The thing is Loyal, Fans will always find something to complain about.
I will pay the price asked, we have had it cheap enough for long enough and the club are not immune to the cost of living increases.
In this instance though , the gripe is about an owner, who thinks the business can be run from afar, hands off with no input from himself, financial or otherwise.
That would be alright, if the guy actually running the show, is up to the job, and in the eyes of many, including mine, he is not.

I'm not bothered that we don't win every game.
I'm not bothered that we don't get to cup finals.
I'm not bothered that we don't get promoted every season.
I'm not in outrage about a £50 rise in season ticket prices.
I am not stepping foot inside VP until Rupp & Sparks have left the building.
Sorry if my reasoning doesn't suit your agenda

Just a question and no offence meant.
If and its a big if, we reach the playoff's and come through that. Would you still not re -new, on the back of promotion.
That was the aim at the start of the season/
I do not like Rupp's ownership and how he chooses to run, or not run the club.
Is he any worse than Rhodes, who ran the club on a wing and a prayer with the odd fire sale thrown in.
He got very lucky in my eyes.
Did you continue to buy your tickets then.
I can see both sides of the argument here.

And I do agree that in an ideal world we’d have an active , not an absent owner.
I also agree that the CEO role is too big for Ryan.
What I cannot get onboard with is the calling from this rebellion group for fans to boycott games and not to renew ST’s and then furthermore to actually accuse the loyal fans of being part of the problem.

I think that is a misrepresentation.

As I understand it, the group has asked for a dialogue with the owner to understand intentions for the club.

Yes, some individuals have mentioned this and others have said that they are no longer putting money into the club. However, there certainly isn't an orchestrated campaign to do that now. As others have observed, that doesn't affect the owner and only impacts those directly involved with the club in the short-term.

It's a difficult balance at the moment supporting a club where its current custodian doesn't appear to care.

    No I wouldn't.
I wasn't a fan of Rhodes but, at least he was a fan and attended matches and, didn't come out with 'self sustainable' comments.
I did buy my tickets then and as many other posters have said, to not do so this season will be gut wrenching.
I still feel that the only way to wake Rupp up is to hit him financially.

Like you, i don't think walking away will achieve anything, other than reducing the clubs income.
Its an individuals choice, if they want to attend, but you can not be involved in negotiations if you are not sat at the table in my eyes.
If fans really want change, get involved,

Your reasoning is flawed I’m afraid. Mark Lawn was an active / outspoken owner but in reality didn’t have a pot to piss in beyond the 1 million loan he put in and later took back.
We had a deficit every season which unless we luckily had a cup run forced the sale of our best players and top youth prospects.
But……because we had PP as manager and punched above our weight, you wore those rose tinted glasses, didn’t complain and continued to attend games / renew ST.
James Mason as CEO was beyond feckless and made horrific decisions which pissed off loyal fans.
Take the rose tinted specs off and tell me how what we have now is any worse than then.
We got lucky in 2013 but in reality the running of the club was just as much of a shit show as it is now.

Not sure it will hit him in the pocket. Sparks will cut the cloth, reduce the budget for everything until we go down or bust. Rupp is not bothered either way in my eyes.

I simply gave an answer to another poster.
I'm not bothered about the past.
In the past people believed that the Earth was flat, I'd bet you'd be one of them.

OMG ! How many more times….how will fans walking away from the club hit him financially? He’ll just instruct Sparks to sell Cook, Walker, Smallwood, Halliday etc etc and replace them with non league shite to preserve the sustainability until we eventually drop into the NL.
Is that what you want? As that’s the only way you are getting rid of Rupp against his own free will.
Until then, the best option is to keep supporting the club and hope GA does the job either this season or next.

The silence from Rupp , speaks volumes.
    He does not care.
Will let the club go in my opinion, the losses will be nothing to him, the loss to us though will be far greater.
    I seriously believe this.

Excluding Andy Cook who was the last City player to score twice in a league match before yesterday?
