Absolutely robbed tonight, and gutted about the result. However we were badly missing a focal point and whilst we had a few chances, the saves looked routine (I was sat right behind the goal). We badly missed Cook, oh for his stupid bookings (and subsequent red) in the last match.

However, a very positive performance which bodes well for the rest of the season.

Where we have improved lately apart from a watertight defence I think is how we are confidently knocking the ball about and players making better choices with positioning and movement ...

Totally gutted for our boys tonight but that's football, ta for your comments though. Good luck for the final.
Though Wycombe were very much 2nd best on the night they were bloody resilient - one overall comment, although they were up against it they didn't resort to time-wasting, fake injuries etc that we see so often. Both teams were honest as day on a difficult pitch and deserve recognition for that. Also thought the ref did a good job overall.

Final comment back to our boys, some of the football you played tonight was a joy on a difficult surface - now make us as proud for the rest of the season

Going to take an almighty effort on Saturday with tiredness and injuries. Hope we are not to much under strength

Being critical on a night where the team has worked so hard, Smith gets into great positions but is weak and Stubbs really has ballsed up at the end.
I get we've created and their keeper has done well but we're any of his saves out of this world?? No, just saves you'd expect any keeper to make.
Harsh maybe, but if you want to WIN silverware, get to finals or achieve success in the league, we have to score goals and not make stupid decisions, not just play well.
Both those things have contributed to us going out tonight.
Gotta shake any hangover off quickly.
Don't think those who started will train, just straight into a match Saturday.

McDonald makes a huge difference in how we play. Needs to start more games.

And bury a one on one chance in the opening minutes of the game.

His all round play is decent but unfortunately he fails to do his main job as a striker.

This match reminded me of the league cup quarter final at home to Bristol City in January 1989. They had Joe Jordan as player manager and we absolutely battered them but we lost 1-0

Thanks for that Shev, we’ve all been there at sometime we were the muggers at Wrexham recently. Even your Chairman and others had the good Grace to say they were embarrassed. Good luck for the final.

Muggers at Wrexham? You mean the game where we had more shots on target?

I think we need to redefine the meaning of mugged if Wrexham were 'mugged' in that game at the racecourse.

Why should they be embarrassed?. They defended very well, keeper did his job well, and took their chance, that's football.

A conundrum for all of us who enjoyed the performance. Would we prefer to watch that and lose or play like we did against Sutton and win?

Perfect scenario is play like last night and win of course.

Plat like last night Idle. The laws of averages dictate you win that game nearly every time if you play that well. The Sutton win would more than likely play out for a draw 9 times out of 10.

Lets be totally honest, Peterborough would have royally bummed us had we got to Wembley so hopefully we can now put everything we have left into a play off charge. Lets not waste the feelgood factor of the last 4 games
