Might sound daft, as they’re losing 4-0, but MK Dons look a decent team, it’s just been one of those nights from their point of view. In fact, I’ve seen worse looking teams come to VP and win over the last couple of years.

They haven't played badly and the quick restarts are helpful to their style of play. It's the age old problem of the opposition being able to press well can create opportunities. They also haven't created enough clear cut chances. They can move the ball up the pitch but the final pass has been poor tonight.

 

Listen, Ryan Sparks might not thank me but get the contract out, put it on the table. Let him sign it, let him write whatever numbers he wants to put on there, given what he's done since he's come in. Platt at the wheel, man. He's doing it.

Only real negative tonight is the pitch. Looks awful, and its going to see several matches over the next couple of weeks…..

Wouldn't get carried away after 1 home win in 2 months. We need to back it up on Saturday against the type of opposition we're notoriously bad against in recent times.

Besides, we're still in the bottom half with only 14 games remaining having played more than every other team around us, 2 more than some. Around 75 points is needed to obtain 7th, so we would need to win 11 of those remaining 14 matches to stand a chance, 10 if we're lucky. Can't see it myself so some perspective is required.

On the plus side, long may this continue! Nobody would have seen us getting 6 points from Wrexham and MK Dons, a very welcome surprise considering all the doom and gloom lately. Great to see Calum scoring. I'm still not going back just yet though, however if we beat Sutton to record 3 league wins in a row I might be swayed.
