Let’s have a roll of honour then on who predicted we would beat Wrexham.

Given the marked air of pessimism on here and generally surrounding City, I am gob smacked that 8 predicted a City victory! For sure l am exceptionally pleased City won, but the home form that Wrexham were in, screamed a ‘home banker’! I predicted a 2-0 defeat!

I find tonight’s game very difficult to gauge. Obviously the heart says a City win. MK Franchise are steadily climbing the table, which given City’s dreadful home form, suggests a defeat. The pitch will be like Morecambe Bay mud flats. That should stop them playing neat passing football on the deck. However we have our two creative midfielders, who can score, out for sometime. It is going to be wet and slippy on that pitch. Our defence is in fine form.

If they score, l think it will be game over. If we can get a goal, it could set it up for a dramatic encounter.

I will go with hope, but no great expectation. I want to see fight and determination, with some creativity. If we then get undone, at least we have given it a go.

On the former topic Rod, I always predict a score with the heart never the head. “ Form” over the years, especially where we are concerned , has never ever, been a guide. I just refuse to back against ourselves , one of those bizarre things in life, where normally the brain wins every time.

I am the same, it is always with trepidation that I back City though. I am going with a 2-0 City win tonight fingers and everything else crossed.

I had to do everything that day.
    Drive to Stanmore
    Purchase tube tickets
Help her through tube station turnstiles
    Help her down the steps
    Purchase her refreshments.
    Drive home

Don’t remember getting a lot of thanks for it either.

It’s a good job we won or it would have been a very long day for me.

Sounds like MK might have some fitness concerns ahead of tonight and might be making a few changes. Warren O'Hara is expected to come back into the defence as at least one change.

Like to think we can press on and get back to back wins, but just 1 win in our last 8 L2 home games along with 4 wins from our last 15 midweek fixtures, something NEEDS to change soon.

Just reading the matchday guide on City's website and was surprised to see that unaccompanied under 14's are not allowed at VP.
Is this a new thing or has it been around a while and I have missed it?

That type of classic humour , sadly has disappeared for ever.
There weren’t many who could carry it off. Morecambe and Wise, Benny Hill, Two Ronnies, Monty Python, Dads Army and one that may surprise because it’s US, Lesley Neilson , Police Squad .
And one line from Naked gun……..My all time belly laugh…..” Nice Beaver”

Modern humour is garbage in comparison .

Sadly, we've just lost one of the Dads Army cast.
    Ian Lavendar.
