Wouldn’t put as bluntly but i totally agree a new broom all the way through the club. These people may have the club at heart but they’re not dynamic enough to take us forward.

Keep the past in the past that goes for all associates and former owners. Let them come as supporters but no where near influence or decision making.

Maybe harsh but these people have been around through either administrations, a lunatic in Rahic running the shop or now in current low ebb - time to cut all ties.

Hopefully one day a new owner will come and do just that.

 

I'd be happy with a response to a few of the questions fans are asking, but wouldn't it be great for Steve to be invited out to Munich and a sit down and express the fans disappointment with regards our demise since he purchased the club.

 

Well done for doing this Steve hopefully you get a positive response from him and will soon be sat infront of him asking his intentions for the club .

Think the hierarchy is Rupp as owner, Sparks as CEO, then maybe the club accountant? The only directors are honorary? Rhodes isn’t at the club, we just use him as an advisor as it seems he has a rapport with Rupp, having sold him the club and helped run it when Rahic was fired.

The lack of structure and a board - to hold people to account - is why Sparks and Rupp have stayed as long as they have. Nobody questions them. They keep backslapping and citing commercial turnover, yet on the field the team is struggling.

 

Your replies shows you up for what you are, because others who have been involved with the club for many years need to be nowhere near the club, some of these so called old timers have forgotten more about Bradford City than you'll ever know and have been there with regards assisting the club financially during bad times.
What do we get from you on a consistent basis hot air and little or no action.

 

And here's me thinking you was one of the better posters on here, you don't have a clue some of the unpaired work many old timers do with regards helping the club with regards their past expertise.

 

Just shows that if someone does something good you hang on to it and don’t understand change.

Rhodes changed. He moved into accountant mode and was scared to take risks. He informed Edin and mainly Rupp how to be tight with spend and wouldn’t shock me if he stated what a set of mugs this fan base is. Suggested the hiring of Sparks to continue his ways.

The rest of the old timers have no interest in moving this club forward. It’s a game to them.

This club is dead and needs new injection of life.

 

I've signed and joined but I'm not expecting much from Rupp. After all, he promised to get us back to where he found us, but as a businessman he's realised he doesn't have to risk any of his money so why should he. We have to let the world know what he's doing and apply pressure that way.

 

Sometimes it’s beneficial to kill your darlings. For sure a new owner, or even a business auditor would be making changes with no emotional involvement. It’s harsh on those that have been with the club behind the scenes and so on, but at the end of the day, they are all part of the failing story.

 

Why did I expect any sort of logical reply from you just your usual drivel you churn out reply after reply.
Thanks to the two old timers John Dewhirst and fellow forum member @wetherbywhaler who took time out to visit Rupp and explain exactly what was going on at our club at the time who knows where we would have been if that had not been brought to Rupps attention.
You are more than happy to tell anyone who'll listen about the state of our club but when your asked to lead us to the promised land once again you fail show any sort of leadership, all bluster and no action.

 

Thanks Bronco, it’s by no means a dig at those people and I do appreciate the unseen things that these guys am sure do have done.

Just my opinion the club needs a clean broom all the way through it.

If I was the owner i would be creating a proper board of directors where we the club pay for their expertise.

Where's your cut off with regards your comment does 50 put fans in that caturgury or 60 plus, you comment "These people may have the club at heart but they’re not dynamic enough to take us forward" can I point out to you Ryan Sparks is in his early 30s, Rupp just gone 50 when he took the club over.
Rupp has little interest in Bradford City AFC Ryan said as much in the Radio Leeds programme why would Rupp have a board of directors who have no financial input into the club and pay for their expertise, he's made it abundantly clear what he wants our club to be with the mandate Ryan's been given, Allan Biggins is one of the old timers you're refering too but a board member in name only, and of course our relatively new go getter Ryan Sparks with all the fresh ideas a young person brings to the job of CEO.
I believe the guys who bought Crawley were the type who would fall into your caturgury of your "young dynamic go getters" ? that's not going too well at the moment.
I can't see the status quo changing much at Valley Parade untill we get a new owner or owners, preferably under the age of 30 .

 

@wetherbywhaler is doing nothing now though is he? Sat eating his pawn sandwiches with Sparks. The club has gone backwards since Edin left and like everyone he knows that Sparks should t be CEO but he is more than happy now to do nothing about it or tell Rupp to F off out of of the club.

All makes me think that the Edin out thing was because Edin was getting involved in their business and they didn’t like it. Nothing to do with the goodness of the club because if it was they would be doing everything they can to get Sparks out and Edin to sell up.

So why don't you arrange a meeting with Roger and formulate a cohesive plan?Instead of dishing out your orders and calling people out, step up to the plate and be counted. I cannot think how hard that could be for you to do that?

 

When you get a minute please translate that into English, you really are clueless, love your idea that Edin owns the club and we should encourage him to sell up, doh .

 

I really like @Fordy117 and his somewhat idiosyncratic comments but there seems to be an element of “all mouth and no trousers” (or should that be “all bucket and no chammy”?) to his suggestions. Come on fordy, get forrad!

@wetherbywhaler should be doing all he can to get Sparks out of the club and Rupp to sell. He was quick enough to moan about Edin but we are now in a worse position under Sparks leadership.

He is too happy eating pawn sandwiches with Spark though so doesn’t suit his agenda.

Edin go involved in many things which clearly he and others didn’t like. Rupp gets involved in nothing.

You need to wise up! Stop hanging on to things from the past!

Old timers say they care about the club but scared of change maybe time for fresh outlook and change of direction.
