Why would we be playing home games in Harrogate or Halifax or is that just a bit more scaremongering your doing ?

I believe the lease has already got a 25 year extension built into it, so probably not much negotiating to do.
We either accept or move out.
Lets say they want £5million, a commercial loan is going to be at around 12/ 13% so approx £600,000 grand a year interest. That,s if the finance companies will touch us.

    Agreed.

But as well as attracting sponsors it increases merchandise and home game revenue, i-follow etc... The fact is the Club's main income stream is ST ticket sales, and the rest follows. "Sustainability" can be achieved in theory at any level, it's just a contemporary term used for "living within your means" or "cutting your cloth accordingly".

The statements and lack of statements from Club at the moment indicate to me that there is an acceptance that income will be reduced, and spending cut. The bubble has burst, they know no extra cash coming from Germany, and they have finally learnt not to give false hope. I guess the main behind the scenes debating at the moment will be where to price season tickets. A further guess will be they will keep as low as they can for this season coming with low key marketing, and hope for the best. If the slide continues it will be the following season where they will significantly increase ST prices; not to raise extra revenue per se but to balance the reduction of dwindling numbers of willing and able fans, as it nears to that core level of those who will buy no matter what (6-7K?)

Some may not trust Ryan but the one thing he has done during his time as CEO is get Gibb to correspond with regards the stadium and to actually sponsor the club even attending games, it was never going to happen whilst Julian was still at the club.
Unfortunately no matter who is our CEO Gordon Gibb will carry all the aces with regards the new lease.

Please run me through your business plan of how we afford 500k rent and 1.7million maintenance costs of VP when we are relegated to the NL?
I won’t hold my breath for your reply.

I believe it's similar to a player to when his contract is up, the club have an option on him we have an option on continuing the lease but unfortunately as we know it will be on Gibbs terms.

Because he was quick enough to do something about Edin but happy to sit and watch Sparks & Rupp ruin the club even more.

You can see those that are thinking about themselves because they don’t say it how it is. Simon Parker is another one. These people care about themselves and their positions. All laughing in fans faces.

I’ll reply , your business plan for BCFC playing at Harrogate. Your idea, so let’s have it, so we can all tear it to shreds .

Surely you can see the difference between Sparks, Rupp, Parker and Wetherbywhaler, is that WW is a lifelong city fan. Anyway I'm sure he doesn't need me to stand up for him.

Like it or not they were two completely different scenarios, Ryan is delivering what the owner requests with regards Ryan's position, sustainability with little or no financial input from himself.
Where as Rahic had fraudulently used money that had been designated for other aspects of the business, I'm surprised that Rupp did not go a step further and get the law involved, I suppose he may have felt at the time Rahic had made him look a big enough fool for not being aware of what was happening at the club, then again maybe Rupp didn't want the details being made public and in the media certainly not back in Germany

He doesn’t need me to stand up for him, but he’s what six years older? maybe disagrees less with what’s happening now than under Edin, perhaps he thinks I’ve done my bit it’s someone else’s turn, has grandkids he wants to spend time with, who knows? Who cares? it’s up to him.

If you want something to happen the best way to do it is to do it yourself. Get off your arse and use your undoubted brilliance to effect change. You have strong enough opinions, put them to use.

Harrogate or Halifax were just throwaway comments but the main point is that we won’t be at VP in the NL unless you think different

You beat me to it, Ryan is doing as requested by Rupp, where as Rahic did exactly the opposite.

We will never drop to the NL. The club isn't anywhere near as badly run as the likes of Bury, Scunthorpe, Oldham etc. Its actually in the best shape finance wise as I can remember due to the effort of the amazing response from the fans of the club. It's why a fair number of groups have looked at the club as a potential investment, only to be put off by a ridiculous asking price.
